Sip o' ... what?

Does anyone actually use the health/stamina/magicka vials in this game? I noticed in my bank a moment ago that I have, like, 100 of them - so clearly I'm not using them.

One thing is the quick slot system: it just doesn't work for me. I mean, sure I can quick slot a sip o' health, but what if I need magicka? Then I'm trying to get to it while some avatar is gleefully bashing in my face with an iron mace.

I don't use them much. I keep health slotted for certain encounters where they might make the difference, but for the most part I ignore them.

i'm crafting my own vr5 potions that gives me 500 of all 3 atributes at once. they are pretty nice in vr6+ zones.

I destroy all pots on my sorcerer because they just take up inventory space I could be using to hoard useless crafting mats from 30 levels ago. Also I don't need them, or gear really. Sorc is hard.

Easy Quick Slots addon and map keys to change the item in quick slot. If you have gaming keyboard you can macro the change and use to one key.

I use them when I need it. Most often in solo play, but often I use Stamina/Magica in grouplay to keep DPS-ing. Even the ocassional health to make it easier fo the healer.
I do not store them in the bank and I rarely keep more then the 1-2 top levels of potiosn I find. The rest is jsut vendor trash.

I managed to get them changed in combat quite quickly, I only sometimes accidently consume them. If you want faster way to select a specific slot, try this Addon:

It puts changing them on Configureable short keys. You still have to manually consume them (bot protection limit), but it should speed up consuming the right one.

I find I don't use them often, but I do use them. I'll keep the two highest stacks of each, and sell the weaker ones. I'll use the health or magick ones during some boss fights. The stamina sometimes when I'm running somewhere.

As a Nightblade Alchemist, i keep them all until i have out leveled the effects, then vendor them. I use more potions than I'd care to admit. But since i have a potion buff from Siphon skill line and Alchemy, it's a nice "oh sh**" button. I've learned to adapt to the Quickslot System by placing my most used items at the extreme top, left, right, and bottom for simple swipes during combat.

Uh, is there an easy way to turn that circle so the next one get slotted? I keep having to pause between fights to reload potions (I craft + potions, the health/stam/weapon power ones come in really handy for my NB.)

I have never once used a potion. Using them is too unintuitive .. like much of the rest of the game.

Crafting is definitely the way to go. I use a nice one that gives spell crit and tops off magicka just as I drop my ultimate for that kill shot, or a magicka/health combo, or others. See, the only way to get these nice combo pots is to craft them or buy them from crafters.

If you don't use pots and/or self heals you're gimping your play. Unless you like collecting--and filling--soul gems.

Yup, that's the way. With practice, you'd be surprised how fast you can switch slots.

Ya, cuz pressing Q to use it is so unintuitive....

I use them all the time. I also find it easy to roll out and hold down q and select a different potion if i need to. Skills baby. That's what I got.
