Things that kill me in this game.

90% enemies with homing attacks

    So I should be blocking non stop to prevent getting hit from the endless onslaught of homing attacks?

    I find the damage output from monsters unbalanced and strange at times. The clave toss they do can easily take of 40-50% of my health at times, they suddenly do a burst damage without any animations or casting queues and some can heal up to max health in 2-3 ticks (also with buggy animations).

    So I have to agree with the OP here. It's been a constant nuisance throughout my levelling experience on my sorcerer, and it's the same that plague me now on my NB and Templar alt. Especially frustrating when you're low on health with 30% or so, manage to get away from a "super" attack, only to have that attack changed to a clave toss and kill you in one hit.

    Yeah. I've seen that 30% health thing alot too. Sometimes they just flat out die out of nowhere like the game goes "close enough" and just kills you.

    Power attacks from NPC's are not red lines (those are casted abilities). Power attacks are thin (and multiple) white lines on the enemy itself and it clearly is rearing back in preparation to whack-a-mole, you being the mole ;)

    For me anyways, about 20% of my deaths are from mobs that I rush into without checking out the area first and the other 80% is from exploring and getting eaten by fish in the deep water or falling off the high cliff that I didn't see because of a "oooo shiney" moment

    20% mobs respawning while I'm engaged with another mob
    5% me being stupid

    Ah yes, the infamous weapon swap fail, combine that with ability delay and a dash of server lag and your death is guaranteed.

    On my sorcerer I have single target on one bar and AoE on another bar, standard setup. Fired of my crystal, ended up aggroing a whole bunch of monsters. Clicked my weapon swap key, nothing. Again, and nothing. Frenetic this time, nothing. After 5 seconds I finally got my weapon swapped. Tried to get my critical surge up, nothing. Tried again, there we go. And dead.

    Interesting actually that a lot of the game's difficulty spans from that rather than the game actually being difficult :)

    Challenging fights are good but ... please... Everything single trash mob has more hp than me. Every single trash mob has more damage output than me.

    Quite often I can't see melee animations until after I already ate them. Moving "out of the way" simply doesn't work as I'm eating uppercuts regularly from few miles away. Deaths to fireballs / heatwaves through the walls/rocks/trees are my personal favourite though.

    I'm all up for challenging boss fights. They're great, but ... most of the time boss fight is cake compared to actually getting through trash to get to the boss.

    I shouldn't have to consider changing skills around from one trash spawn to the other, depending on what spawned this time. That is if you even lucky enough not to have the last 3 guys respawn behind your back.

    EDIT - Then again, I shouldn't be complaining. End of the day I have got the ever so OP Bolt Escape at my disposal ...
