Need Some Advice On Vet Level Progression

So I just hit vet level 1(or lvl 50) and I am probably 2/3 through the cold harbor quest line. What I need help with is just a few questions/concencenrs that I have, so here goes:
1. Do I need to finish the cold harbor quest line in order to get to the other factions to progress my leveling?

2. If the answer to question 1. is yes then do I get XP for finishing the cold harbor quest line?

3. Where do I get vet level crafting material? More specifically will the new faction territory just have vet lvl 1 material or will it be vet level 1-5 or 1-12.... what and where are the nodes?

I have read that there are no vet level provisioning materials in the lower level zones of the new faction, but is it the same with all the other nodes as well?

4. Can I get a guild mate in a group and then teleport to both of the other factions, or do I have to do them one at a time?

I am in EP now I think DC opens first but can I get to AD without finishing DC? I want to do them in a random order to break up the monotony of it all.....

Thanks in advance for any answers/advice that will be given.

You only need to finish the main quest to open other factions (though coldharbour quest line is nice and imo should be done be4 the main quest for plot reasons). Other faction zones are copies of low level zones that serve as an extention to your progression. I mean you get to glenumbra and all mobs are v1, mats are v1-3. stormhaven mobs are v2 etc. For pact the order is DC v1-5, AD v6-10. I bet you can access all these zones even at level 1, as they are faction-specific anyway.
As you might have guessed by now, veteral levels are just some long and frustrating levels for you to progress through.

now that you are vet1 port to craglorn and grind to vet12 then you can come back and finish up any content easily.

Or you could play the game as intended instead of exploiting your way to v12 then coming on the forums whining about the lack of content.

My advice would be to finish the main story quest then finish off coldharbour. Its good ex and you will need it in the vet zones. Then go to the starter area on the next faction. I don't mind questing and enjoyed doing the quests I hadn't seen before but I know some don't. In that case then you can either go the PvP route or grind dungeons. There are some exploiting anomalies in craglorn but that will very soon get nerffed and its mind numbingly boring.

    I hope not.

There should be options for different types of players. There are quests for those who like quests, grinding for those who want to grind, and AvA for those who want to pvp. That's how it should be in an MMO since there are a lot of people playing and there are bound to be different types of players.

This isn't a type of play though is it. and I wouldn't mind if it didn't impact on my play but it does. All the stuff you dump on the auctions is destroying the economy and therefore a core part of the game. This is no better then the bots doing the same thing.

The first time I saw the Vet progression I was horrified.
What! another 100 levels! ( thinly disguised as 10)

Fortunately I soon discovered there's little difference in the VR ranks and since PvP is all I care about I've simply gone to Cyrodiil where I'm levelling quite pleasantly.
Just a few points short of VR3, tonight should do it nicely.
'Clever' sigs get old real fast - just like this one.

If you're lucky you'll get to join a Craglorn dungeon XP group.

Quickest "non-craglorn" way is to just do all the quest hubs but skip the side-quests. If you pick up a quest and it doesn't say "questplace Objective", just remove it because it's not worthy of your time (you only get ~ 1/10 the XP of the objective quest).

Doing it this way, one whole zone rougly equals one veteran rank.

You need to finish (i think) the caretaker quest line and main storyline (harboage) - after you fight Malog Bol - you will be transported to the new vr content (for me as a DC it was start over in AD).
If you don't want to grind up to 12 or what ever level, I suggest you check out duffy's for a list of quests, the vr xp they give as well as doing the world bosses and 4 man dungeons in each zone. They give very nice xp.

I hope this is a joke. Players that like to grind are in NO way equal to bots.

I myself am one that enjoys the grind and I don't think I'm destroying the economy by doing so. If you can't make money one way because the market is flooded find another, that's what I did and I have plenty of gold. And no its not from selling drops. I decon those. :P
