I have 0 interest in the other faction zones so atm I'm forced to Cyrodill to VR9 so that I can go into craglorn.

I mean it feels iffy that their is little racial pride since everyone starts in same place but the veteran zones really make faction pride even more weakened.

You shouldn't have faction pride in the first place. We should all be united against evil. Not divided and killing each other.

That being said, Queen Ayrenn is the best fit leader, but that's because of her not AD.

Playing through the other stories have nothing to do with faction pride. Gamers were going to do it regardless on alts. Most players didn't want to have to roll alts to experience the rest of the content.

Don't have to follow the story. some players haven't done that for even their own factions.

I live in my own story where my Pact Dunmer is trying to undermine the other factions by choosing all the options which hurt them the most.
Also it's an alternate reality and you regain your pride pretty fast in Cyrodiil. ;)

What faction pride? Last time I checked when you finish the story, you do it with the fighters and mages guild because they are independant in this conflict and the only ones that can unite their forces and focus on the attack. You have all three sides agreeing on that.

I always wanted the VR other faction missions to have a double agent part to it, like you poison High King Emeric againest allies or something like that. You know where you can see what your actions actually do.

Of course with this being MMO that won't happen since the world is going to be constant for you, me and whoever else plays.

There's factions because people want PvP. It's just a neat and tidy way to put people into teams.

You do the missions for the other two factions because it's easier to direct the player to content that's already been created than to actually provide original end game content.

The devs believe they've been really clever here. They actually believe that we wouldn't notice how lazy they were.

But let's cut them some slack. Maybe it wasn't laziness. Maybe there was too much pressure and the product was rushed. So, maybe in a year's time (or longer, let's be honest) there might be proper non-immersion breaking end game content for this game instead of "doing it all again" two more times.

I don't mind it, i normally don't make alts. Now i can do all the storylines on 1 char. Nice stuff.

Going from AD to EP, I didn't know who I was supposed to hate more the invading DC or the Dunmer. By the end of Stonefalls I really wanted to slaughter friendly Dunmer NPC's. I won't lie, normally I spare as many people as I can and give them fair justice, but whenever I got the chance to help an Argonian or other races exact their revenge on a Dunmer I went for it.

I think it's great that any single character can experience all 3 faction zones. I don't think it's great to have to do it for vet levels.

Since I am a slow leveler I have yet to encounter this, but I have a feeling that once I reach veteran status on any of my characters and have done every single quest of their faction, that I will move them to Cyrodiil from there on. I really doubt I will move them to the quest zones of the other factions simply because I already play alts in each one of those.

When I heard for the first time that at veteran status I just get to do the same quests I have been doing on alts, just a bit harder... I was kinda pissed off that they went this, let's be honest here, lazy way. It feels like a cop-out. Boring rehashing of old content and pretend it is for our benefit.

Under the notion that the majority of players wanted to do all on one character. Was this ever checked? Does the majority of players indeed not play alts and want it all on one character and loose any and all feeling of being part of a faction? Maybe they did check it, maybe the majority does want this, but I am surely not one of those.

So for me1-50 is questing and pvp, VR1-12 will be only pvp. Ah well, you can't have it all I guess, funny enough because they think most players do want it all.

Faction pride is in pvp only, in pve it has been completely removed thanks to this cop-out, at least that is my personal opinion and let's face it... I am just one voice in a mass of screaming players so who cares what I think, right?

Would it really kill you to just go plod through the zones and level up, or just go to Craglorn and do it.

With Veteran Zones, you are basically playing quantum leap(If you are under 25 years old, you may have to google this television show.) It's not that bad. Open your mind and give it a shot. Being close-minded is the quickest way to have a bad gaming experience.

Dunmer don't do a lot to be loved do they?

I personally like running the stories. If you actually pay attention to the story, there's a reason you go to those places, and its more like receiving a vision than actually being there. So it didn't bother me that much. The only problem with the vision, is that it makes you want to be more of a diplomat... which is simply not possible.

So should i assume you would pay twice for a game offering the exact same content? I'm glad you are happy with it an all but what they did has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with being close minded.

paying customers deserve better from a so called triple A mmo, really sad the way so many just accept rehashed content and not only willing to pay for it but defend it.

as far as i'm concerned if the champion system does not bring major changes to this VR content and offer a better option for those of us who refuse to be forced into content that was reused solely to shut up the i only wanna level one char and go anywhere i want crowd.

I will leave again like i did before and i'm sure they will continue to lose even more subs as well. This isn't some tiny issue, many people had major issues with VR content.

I mean seriously why bother paying for eso and the same ole same ole when i can mod skyrim adding new content and not pay an extra dime!?!?!?

For a company like ZOS it's beyond unacceptable!

...They give you the opportunity to experience the ENTIRE GAME with 1 character. No need for an alt of another faction. 1 toon, boom, you have access to it all.

And it's not new. The Cadwell's Silver and Gold system has been in the game since launch. I don't even... It's not like it was kept secret until you get to V1 and then the rug gets yanked out from under you. If you paid any attention to any chat anywhere somebody HAD to have mentioned that you'll be going to the other faction zones after Coldharbour.

There's no way you couldn't have seen it coming MILES off.

They put a LOT of effort into these stories.

I belong to a DC guild. I'm glad they gave me a way to appreciate their hard work without having to spawn an alt outside of my group.

To call sharing those thousands of man hours "lazy" is the height of irony.

That being said, yes, I skipped quests that pitted me against the Covenant as much as possible, but I'm still glad to have a way to scratch that itch without having to play all three factions.

I do wish we could LFG cross-faction for dungeons, and also had a cross-faction adventure zone.

I was told i could explore the entire world of Tamriel. I've heard people complain on how slow it is, but until i've seen it myself i never knew how *bad* it was. And yea the Skyrim formula of "experience it all with 1 char" worked so well that the game had 0 replayabilty value. All those quests in DC / AD territory are wasted on me because i would have loved to reroll another faction char and do them but as a Pact Dunmer i wanted the endgame to be playable as... Pact
Dunmer. Is that too much to ask?
And the "common evil" idea? Is this now finally "every other MMO"?
Elder Scrolls was unique because it had no right and wrong. No true evil and no true good.
But i'm wasting my time here.
People will screw the ES experience entirely up and soon enough we will be doing 25 man raids killing Molag Bal over and over and farming stuff that has lore related names but has absolutely no meaning whatsoever except getting more crits and pwning in pve/pvp.
