There was levitation in Morrowind, and it's been sorely missed from the TES series since. Apparently it messes with quest triggers and the like.

I think that the levitating thing should be added as an animated emote.
Same goes for the 'playing with a floating ball of fire over your palm' thing that some npcs do.
