Really? Where?I see ESO gold selling ads everywhere!
I do keep receiving gold spam. It appears I get more if I do not report them (they propably track wich target's get the account banned fastest). The more I report them, the less I get. If I jsut start deleting them without report, I start getting more.Google tailors the ads depending on what it knows about you.
For instance, i once was shopping for an e-book reader. From then on, i got spammed with e-book related ads.
If it keeps sending you gold seller ads, that means...
On a completely different note. You buy your Halloween costume in May!?
I pay them for playing it, as everybody else.@zgrssd You're seriously the most blinded fanboy I had seen. Does ZOS pay you for playing the game?
You are "just saying" everyone who gets Goldspam has bought gold or was interested in buying gold.mmosean_ESO wrote: »...Ads are targeted to what you've been searching for lately... just sayin...
Hypersensitive, defensive crappy comebacks should be against the rules too. Sigh.You are "just saying" everyone who gets Goldspam has bought gold or was interested in buying gold.mmosean_ESO wrote: »...Ads are targeted to what you've been searching for lately... just sayin...
No mater how you try to hide it, a blatant insult still stay a blatant insult. And insults are against the Forum Rules, as linked in my signature.
Correct, but Google Ads are also stupid and link the name of any MMO with a site that sells gold for it. Try it yourself, turn off any addblock programs and then search for a lot of MMO stuff, sure enough after time you will have ads about gold selling.mmosean_ESO wrote: »...Ads are targeted to what you've been searching for lately... just sayin...

Joke thread is....well....joke.
Maybe the OP is a Wildstar spy trying to pull players over to that lame game.
Are you serious??
If you did that, make sure you do a full system check for viruses and malware.So I checked the site and true enough they sold daedric motif on par with their gold price equivalent of 200k.

@rajaniemiorama_ESOLOL, you're a jumpy little guy, aren't ya?
ESO is a MMO. MMO and "lore related solo content" do not really belong into the same sentence.Just to be clear. I don't play wild star and never plan to. Looks like a kid's fantasy to me. I prefer the medieval war settings on ESO. I'm an ES fanboy. Just pause on ESO waiting for more lore related solo content.
Plus as an accountant, the time investment doesn't make sense in gold selling. And control system is too tedious if not not viable for gold selling. But that's my perspective. I could be wrong. I would rather venture into making an app than gold selling. Just saying.
I think the most shocking thing about this thread is that there are gamers and people with decent computer knowledge who still see ads on the internet.

@Regoras
I find it odd that you sayed "you are jumpy/oversensitive" instead of, "No, sorry for the misunderstanding. We are aware that some verbal only meanings do not transmit via text only medium so misunderstandings are common".
Trying to distract from the faultiness of ones point by using a even more
faulty/insulting point. Not the way to hold a mature discussion.
Please try a tactic I have not already seen and beaten a dozen times.

Maybe it is just the time you are playing. The worst I get is gold spam mails. I seem to get most between 6 AM and 12 AM german time on EU server. Even when spending hours in the starting zone I get next to nothing via chat.
Even at the worst times it was nothing the builtin ignore function + regualry cleaning of the list could not handle. I have not needed a Spam Fitler addon, and I run around with about a dozen addons (1 self created).
And even at it's worst that was only marginally worse then SWTOR shortly after F2P launch. And there they have 0 account cost and report/ignore works on Character level isntead of account.
I figure with less palyers around, there are less people to report you and let you fall victim to a semi-automatic banning systems. So they really focus on the off times (where most people do not play). Oherwise there is no explanation for the discrepancy in bots/goldspam I see and bots/goldspam I hear about.
In the beginning I keept hearing about "bots overunning the Dungeons"*, but I had to stay awake till 1 A.M. before I even saw one. And then I did saw them in big, multiboxing groups as people had been claimng about.
*Before they implemented the loot lockout there, it was the easiest way to farm stuff.
