I chose Open World PvE as that option best suits my playstyle. I only go through public/solo dungeons to grab Skyshards and to kill the boss so that the map marker turns white. Otherwise all of my time is spent Questing, Crafting, killing World Bosses or destroying Anchors.

All of the above.

We're not retreating... we're advancing in a different direction !
I'm coming from both Oblivion / Skyrim as well several other MMOs. However, in the MMOs I usually concentrate on playing together with my wife and occasional smaller casual grouping.
So I'm definitely an open world guy, and leave the dungeons to the classical MMO-crowd that enjoys dungeon runs (although LdoN I quite enjoyed).
English is not my native language. Please bear with me if spelling, grammar or word choice is not correct.
I'm too new to the game to be anything but PvE. But, having come from the single-player Elder Scrolls world that suits me fine. My only real problem is getting organized and all the ….people…on horses that ride up stairs and through me. That sort of thing will always make role playing difficult.
PVE definedly. openworld and some dungeons. i have tried PVP few times but i see no point getting killed in one second everytime and the huge lagspikes and zero rewards.
Don't PvP anymore. Haven't ever found a PvP system I liked since UO where after you stomped someone into the ground you could pick through their stuff for goodies then move on to find more prey. After you left the corpse monsters and some critter could grab an item or two as well if you had left anything. Mean while as the looting is going on the newly departed is running around trying to get resurrected then once among the living the previously dead person hits the bank for the backup armor/weapons, raises a posse then goes on a PK hunt. Oh and should you be the one with the bad rep for unprovoked attacks on other players guards will kill you.
If a game has PvP it should be all out PvP not the all too common wussy system where you lose nothing but a little time because you are sent back to a res spot.

RP-PvE player. Although I haven't done nearly as much roleplaying as I'd like to, given the lack of chat bubbles. Crossing my fingers and hoping the devs implement it soon, which they said they would...
PvP is always the better challenge. Once you master the game mechanics, PVE is mechanical. PvP, on the other hand, introduces the human element. It's "The Most Dangerous Game".

I tend to prefer PvP in shoot-em-ups, like Star Wars Battlefront. Think you're a decent sniper?
out of the choices i went pve-dungeons, but i like...
PVE - questing/farming/professions/delves/dolmens
PVP - organised group play and bit of zerg
PVE - dungeons/trials/raids
i'm a completionist at heart, but i dip into everything available - but, although i have no problem with roleplay, it's not my cup of tea. i can't take it seriously.
i've been a guild leader/raid leader for 7 years - only recently packed it in and gone more casual, but my casual, is probably equal to a lot of peoples hardcore. but i'm still not as hardcore as the truly hardcore.

I like to both do PvE mostly just exploring questing some dungeons but also love some RP in there. Especially for me in ESO the journey is more important than the destination
88% are not exclusively pvp and 12% are pvp. Yet.... so many pvp moans. Even if you gave the 12% pvp poll the 21% pve/pvp divided players- Still only 33%. Im not surprised, i commented months ago about how many more pve and rp exclusive players there are over pvp players.
