really enjoying the game. I am a slow leveller - enjoying the journey. have been playing since pre launch and main is just level 42 (NB) have several alts and I am loving the quest content and flexibility of builds. Not planning on leaving any time soon especially as many of the folks who are leaving are probably helping make the community a more pleasant place to be (I put more folks on ignore in this game than any other MMO)

I was really having fun till I hit Vet 2, now I can't kill anything. And anything more than 2 mobs is suicide.

I am having fun, but that's because I have a few in-game friends and finally gave up on my Templar. It's my v12 crafting alt. It heals real good though!

I'm playing sorceror now, and sometimes punching myself in the side of the head for having gone through 1-50 and VR1-12 as a Templar. Everything now is just so much better. My aoes and ccs make sense, my damage is enormously better--I even have a pet that can take the heat off me if I need it, and an amazing ultimate.

I've been playing a terrible game and didn't even realize it. Then I dropped Templar and am playing a way better game.

I'm an all PVE casual play-my-way Templar
I only ever entered Cyrodill to try the Fire Balista, didn't care for it so went back to PVE.
Only to the lvel 16-25 stuff(any alliance) so far and I can say this is one of the better games out there, it has it flaws, bugs and imbalances, but it's a whole lot of fun.
I am brave enough to run my my own build, and not conform to anything and I'm advancing slowly yes, but hey, why not pace yourself and enjoy something this good...making it tougher for yourself also makes it that much more satisfying when a friend comes along to help you clean up the nasties that gave you a nightmare's worth of trouble and you see said Enemy's corpse disintegrate under all the elemental surging.

OH AND DEM ANCHORS! so much fun when you have the right size group.
--Group size too small, you die off to quick,
-- Group size too large, it becomes a race to hit the daedra.
--Group Size just right: Best part of the Game!

Oh and the Lore and subtle content you can find with random NPCs and etc...

    TL/DR? Yes i enjoy ESO.

Am I the only one in this game having fun?

Wow! I can't begin to tell you how good it was to run across this post.
I'm so tired of reading all the negative comments on the forums. Let me emphasize "NEGATIVE COMMENTS". I don't mind the critiques, the suggestions, the ideas, etc. But some of the "gamers here are subconciously "haters" of developers.

    ABOUT DEVELOPERS
    - Most devs are not corporate suits, they are gamers themselves and I'm sure the almighty dollar hasn't corrupted them all. I think they are doing what they can, to make this game what we want it to be.
    - Being a developer is not the equivalent to being GOD! They are human!
    - ESO has done some GOOD THINGS so stop acting as if they haven't.

    SOLO vs MMORPG
    - ESO is designed to be and was advertised to be an MMORPG. That definition mean it is intended not only to allow multiple people to play but even more TO PLAY TOGETHER! All you folks who want ESO to cater to your SOLO desires need to go back to SKYRIM until ES-VI comes out. Being able to play solo can be a byproduct of the game but it is NOT the primary intent, so get over it!

    PLAYERS
    - There are people playing this game that are enjoying it (I've been in it since early beta)
    - Anyone who bought ESO to get through it before the 30-day free subscription was over…. you're comments mean nothing.

ESO was designed to incorporate the lore and world of Elder Scrolls into a MMORPG format. I wonder how many of these HATERS have have ready a lore book, scroll, for for that matter listened to the dialogue of NPC instead of multi-clicking there way though a quest just so they can satisfy their thirst for killing something!

I've been playing EVE Online (which has been around for 11 years) for the past 3 years and its chocked full of issues. In fact they just did ANOTHER rebalancing but there are player there who endure the changes, repetitious quests, etc. and PAY THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION because when it comes down to it, they enjoy it and its worth it.

To sum it all up, if you're posting because you want to see ESO thrive, improve, and live up to it's claims more power to you. if you're that unhappy, angry, or overly frustrated with ESO, kick rocks, hit the road, move on, keep on trucking', etc!!! Find something that makes you happy (please, please, please do). Maybe drop out, come back in a year when the growing pains are over. Maybe some growth will happen on both sides!

    Says a DK or Sorc.

Look, I love a lot about this game. But I went through 1-50, and even VR1-VR12 as Templar. Now I'm doing the same thing as Sorc, and it's a totally different experience.

There are serious gameplay/balance problems with this game. Period. Declarative. End statement. Fact. Just Is.

Some people, based on guesing, (having guessed DK or Sorc) are having a certain game experience (which is awesome). Others are playing, and they've heard it's good (from their friends who play another class) and they try and try and work through the frustration, but still suck and die, which is frustrating.

I love the world, and think everything that's been done, from PVP to every single dungeon, is fine as is. But the character balance is...

..it's just effin terrible. This is a thing that just has to be said out loud, emphatically. I went from lvl 1-Vr12 with Templar, and am halfway to VR with Sorc, and have played NB and DK...there are just huge quality-of-life differences and levels of investment that differ between classes.

I'd gladly jump to agree with you a couple of weeks ago, when I was not vet. I'd rant some but still agree just a week ago...alas, I cannot do that any more after being stuck for almost a week with a broken main questline, preventing me from progressing to vet 6 zone=(

The game - or the idea(s), at least - is awesome. It's amazingly beautiful, it has awesome npcs you actually care for, fun combat(up til lvl 50 and only for a few classes. Well, the *idea* I like, at least), awesome crafting system, fun stuff like treasure/skyshard hunting and all.
And then it has bugs. I don't want to sound a spoilt kid, I understand a game so big must be immensely difficult to manage, but...it has bugs that were there 3 betas ago. I'm rather patient and they fix those with time, if slowly...except that they break more stuff than they fix apparently. It has bugs that were NOT there til Craglorn patch. I've been stuck in Bangkorai for almost a week by now because their latest patch broke the main questline there - at the very start, too.

The vet difficulty still sucks - they claim they nerfed monsters back, countless people tell them it's not true but they seem to ignore it. I mean, surely there's something wrong when quest bosses and, hell, even some world bosses are MUCH easier than packs of 3 trash mobs?

And worst of all is absolute, total lack of CS. Like here, on forums. You can see they exist - they're quick to clean your post of swearing/flaming/exploit descriptions, but they hardly ever respond. It took them days to respond in the thread concerning Bangkorai main questline being broke. Would it really kill them to talk to us? Tell us about their plans, comment on our problems, answer our question, give us more detailed insights on their plans? Gee, I'd be fine with half or more of my current problems if they just got a nice timely response, even if it was something generic like "we're aware of it and working really hard to fix it, please forgive us for inconvenience!", it'd at least show they care. Now it seems more of "just pay and shut up" attitude, sad as it is.

I'm vet 6 now, and I still think the game is - or COULD be - great and really awesome, but when I logged in today - to the world where mobs of 3 can wipe me in a matter of seconds and I have no quests left because my main storyline is still bugged - I was certainly not having fun any more.

Sorry for ruining the optimism in the thread, by the way;) I truly hope the bugs you optimistic guys meet never account for too much to you.

EDIT: And sorry for long post, didn't realize it'd be THAT long xD

    OP,

Forums, especially this one, are for bitching now a days and to scream "nerf." Don't get too worked up on the butt-hurt here - you are enjoying the game (I love this game and I wish I had more free time for it between work, etc.), and that's what matters.

I'm having fun, lots. Hours slip by = immersion! Leveling 3 chars, one in each alliance with different classes/builds. Bugs, yes, at times, but they are gradually being fixed.

A lot fewer bots and gold spam, too, lately. (Thanks!)

And, I stay away from these and most other forums due to the plethora of chicken-littles and their noisome clucking.
