The Soulshine set. Please explain?

If someone could actually explain how this set ACTUALLY works, that would be great. "While casting "OR" using a channeled spell". I brought it thinking everything i cast will be buffed 20%. I guess not.

What exactly is a channeled skill? I'm guessing it is something you cast and it hangs around for a while. Like the destruction staff skill Elemental Blockade.

A channeled spell would be something like Invigorating Drain from the vampire line.

Channel is when you use the spell and while it is being casted it does something.... ie- feed, or rememberance, biting jabs etc if you look at your abilities if it's channeled it will say channeled time on top of tool tip above 'cast time'. So none of your resto staff skills are channeled, nor restoring light if Templar other than rememberance/morphs.

The 20% bonus damage worked on Biting Jabs pre 1.1.2. Since patch it doesn't work anymore. Guess it's bugged now. Now it works only on heals, at least for me.

That's not a channeled spell. That is a spell with a casting time. Channeled would be like the vampire skill invigorating drain or the sorcerer skill dark exchange.

sometimes an items explanation is clear as mud, like a lot of the skill morphs. I would love to know exactly what a skill does before I invest a point in it or make a 22k mistake.

Yes, but the set in question works for both channeled abilities and abilities with casting time.

Ya, that's what he's saying. Because channeled ability and cast time abilities are not instant, hence work.

Templars. Works on all heals casted or channels (confirmed) Works on all damage spells channeled (dark flare, purifying light: confirmed) Does have a chance to reflect spells (confirmed)
