Where to get worms faster

i can gather a stack of all fishing bait types relatively fast, except for ocean(worms)

i know where there are hundreds of torchbugs and butterflys for insect parts(river)
i know where there's a lot of squirrels that spawn fast for guts(lake)
and where to kill hundreds of spiders for crawlers(foul water)

but running around trying to find the odd worm in cloth nodes is waaaaaay too slow, anyone know a good place to farm worms?

Some things that helped me: Make sure you grab alchemy plants too, they can also have worms in them. Find spots with lots of undead, they'll have worms in their inventory sometimes.

They've also patched it so worms appear in higher level plants which also helps.

Draug is a great source. Can really wrack up some worms in Eastmarch if you need to.

I think the Clothing Plants also sometimes drop them (in addition to Alchemy plants. Have not quite looked at it since Craglorn (I usually have too much material anyway, so I don't do much collecting).

Problem with undead is that enemies of lower level stop dropping items, cant realy gather as fast on same level.

If it's a level concern. I'd say stick to alchemy herbs and clothing nodes. You'll at least get worms and crawlers.

I think they want them to 10% drop while others baits are 100% to balance the difficulty but imo this makes fishing even more boring than it is actually

In 1.1 they did not even fixed all the buggy fishing achievements we reported since day 1

Imo, save the worms and DO NOT use them until they really fix fishing, you will save a lot of time !

Do not fish until they really fix it is a good idea too !

I've been having the same issue, I know that undead drop worms but as a VR2 I don't really know a good place to go and farm for them.
Harvesting plants takes a long time for very little gain in worms, I have even tried asking in trade guilds to buy them with little luck.

Edit: hold on we are talking about the same worms here aren't we? I've been collecting the things since day 1 planning a fishing trip, now I fear if you are VR levels you must be talking about some other type of worms than the ones I have?

@Epona222 no these are the normal worms used as bait in fishing.
The only place I found where they reliably dropped was the Forgotten Crypts in Deshan but I am too high level for that now.

If you don't mind sending them on I will take them user ID for mails is Turelus on EU server.

Has anyone had any luck finding somewhere to gather worms at VR levels yet?
I'm almost tempted to roll a new character over and over just to farm Coldharbour tutorial.

Are zombies really the best place to get worms? I must have just spent an hour or two killing 100-ish zombies near the Lion Guard Redoubt and got just 11 worms!
I actually had more zombies with 10+ gold on them than worms!

I got worms really quickly from picking my nose and eating it!

Kill any zombie related enemies - they always seem to drop worms and crawlers.

Alternatively try harvesting Alchemy Plants, could just be me but every 5 plants or so I get worms or crawlers.

PC NA Server in Craglorn.....there's a certain person on there that likes to farm for nirncrux and leaves all the worms on the plants.....

I literally just ask everyone if they have any and offer to buy them, I usually just end up getting them for free.
Probably the only person on Ps4 that is going for master angler.

Worms will be selling for more then elegant living soon. I've sold a few stacks of worms at a 100g a worm

right now, a worm costs around 100-150 gold on the guild store...how more ridiculous and boring this whole fishing farce is goimg to get Zenimax?
