Random loading screens are unacceptable

I have constantly been getting loading screens out of the blue when not even changing zones. I am told this is because I am being put into a phase with my friends, but I primarily play solo.

Just now I was fighting a group of really weak monsters that I should have been able to take down without a problem, but then I get this loading screen in the middle of combat and wind up dead. This is unacceptable. If I wanted to phase with my friends, I would join their group. When I am on my own questing, I don't want to worry about dying because of horrible game design. Get it together.

I haven't seen that at all. Ever. Have you actually talked to support about this?

It happened once to me in Greenshade out of several hours of play. It flickered to a load screen then went back to my toon. Was weird but I wasn't in combat so I was lucky.

This has happened to me quite frequently as well.. Just running through a town and a random load screen will pop up for a few seconds. It would be worse if it was as long as the initial load time to get into a new instance. As it stands its just a minor annoyance for me. Never happened in combat either.

This one has encountered this several times as well, once in Eagle's Strand, and three times in Minstrel. It is very annoying and bothersome to this one.

After The last patch this have been happen quite offen to me... 4-6 time per play session....

I hope ZoS will find a a solution soon

This happens to me every single time I enter or leave a town/village/significant area. It's caught me in combat a few times and I've had some very close calls. Very annoying.

It happens to me often. I play solo. It is a random, brief loading screen and I appear back at character select.

Happens to me every so often. I also get ported to random ways grimes when leaving a dungeon sometimes.

Happened to me a few times last night in Cyrodiil. Just running around, get a loading screen. Almost killed me

I'm not too worried about this one. I am pretty sure that this is one that they will be able to fix in a timely manner.

I guess you never died when it popped up as you were fighting a mob, or never saw it when you were near a mob, or never even had it happen?

Took time off and away to give zeni time to work on the issues since craglorn dump. Read up on the forums and figured heck, they're nerfing so they must have worked out the bugs, wrong.

Happened to me four times today as I sent my characters to research gear, as they had all available research slots open due to time away, within the distance of the Daggerfall bank, Clothing / Blacksmith Station, and the Woodworking Station.

Epic Fail.

Time for nerfs, but no time for fixing bugs and what the added content broke, odd priorities. An all too common ea stance. Sad really.

Yup, had it in Cyrodiil repairing a keep door. One even became the endless loading screen. /joy.

My experience is that whenever there is a new patch, and I get long loading screens, it's mostly because of an addon that is not up to date, and not agreeing with the new game version.

Just an observation, hope everything clears up for you.

This happened to me in Bewan. I was just walking around when the game locked me randomly into a loading screen. I had to forcefully close the game and start it again. I wasn't in combat or looting. Just walking through the place.

In my case, I sourced this to my system running way too hot. (One of my cats had managed to turn a spot behind the tower into an impromptu bed for herself when I wasn't paying attention.)

So, this could be as simple as cracking open your case and taking a can of compressed air to everything.

This happens to me occasionally on Ultra graphics settings.
Seems to happen most commonly when entering an area with a lot of features before they are fully loaded.
Does not seem to happen with my graphics on minimum; might have to do with computer capabilities.

The loading screens themselves were put in specifically to deal with such loading issues -- prior to the implementation of the loading screens, people frequently fell through the world or got stuck in stairs and walls when they finished loading.

Perhaps try turning down your graphics and seeing if the issue is still present.

What he said.The loading screen was implemented because some slow PCs where having problems rendering stuff like buildings ect ect quick and ppl ended up stuck on walls when the buildings finally rendered.The loading screen stop you and help render faster.Annoying? yes but in my case,I blame myself cause of my crappy PC.

On the other hand if ppl with awesome PCs are having the loading screen very often it may be worth taking a look at it.I have noticed since 1.6 my rendering of buildings is much more slower than before the patch.

I belive it is a problem with your computer not a zos or a server, i NEVER got a single in-game load screen with my rig but when i play on my wife laptop i got a load screen evry 10 minutes.

I dont think so.

I never had that problem during 2014 and in 2015 so far today first happened when I was in Lord Sanguine's celebration. In the midst of battle appeared the eternal loading screen so I decided to close and restart the game client.

When I re-enter in the game was standing in the same place, with the same NPC around and just continue the fight.

In my case never change my computer (it was always the same).

Just had my first one at Kenarthi's Roost. Was about to enter Mistril and ended up in a random loading screen I had to dc out of.

I get this in towns or when I'm riding my mount full speed through the game because the server is too slow and cannot handle the playerbase. I've never seen it in the middle of combat though, I think that's something for support to check out.

Unless it happens when people are waiting for me for some run I disconnect and go do something else. Random load screens and infinite load screens are what makes all other issues I have with the game harder to get over. They are the amplification of bad.It happens constantly on log in in EH and COA .Since forever.

Me and the three other people in my group got one in the middle of Arena 4 in VDSA tonight.
At the same time. The 4 for us.
We had to alt+f4. When we finally relogged, we realised we had experienced a roll back : number of potions, timer on food, repair... Everything was back at the state it was before we began VDSA.
XP too, so I lost the CP I won in the 3rd Arena ^^
