Weapons show when mounted

So.... if anyone can give a good reason as to why weapons don't show when mounted that would be nice. It really bugs me that the weapons just disappear but by taking them off and putting them back on they show again. I haven't had any clipping issues with 2 hand weapons or bows and its stupid that they don't show.

Please make them show. Games made in the early 2000's were able to do it why can't ESO?

I want to post some screens but I'm having technical difficulties doing so. Check it out for yourself. I would rather having clipping issues than not have them show at all.

I think I saw this answered by a mod once. The answer was because the weapons would be clipping through the geometry of the horse. I'll see if I can dig up the thread.

Actually, I equipped several different weapons and didn't have issues with clipping with the horse. But wouldn't you rather have it clip then have your weapons just disappear and reappear all the time?

Also in PVP its nice to know what someone is using when you are chasing behind them. I have found out that I never know what I'm up against which is another annoying deal because what weapon they have determines what weapons and abilities I use and the early warning is nice.

While on ur horse unequip and reequip an item and u will have weps on ur back

Poor Chomps, he's already carrying so much weight yet one would prefer to have his great sword/staff puncture his butt just for aesthetic purposes.

Like I said, the staff and greatsword don't come near his butt....... equip a 2 hand after you are mounted.

Yes, but to have to do this every time is annoying. I don't believe that ZOS makes them vanish completely based solely on clipping issues. It doesn't even clip with 2 hand weapons.

Since weapons / shield magically reappear when changing equipment on horseback, I created a very small add-on that simply toggles the 'hide helmet' interface setting twice, when you mount your horse.

Name is "ShowWeaponsWhileMounted" and it can be downloaded at curse.com or esoui.com.

I strongly doubt this, because all it does is changing an interface setting twice when mounting, being possibly the smallest and simpliest add-on out there.

But we could try to move Nirn a bit by jumping at the same time! ;-)

their main excuse seems to be "it would clip", but the easiest solution for that would be to just add animations instead of leaving them to clip.

really, it wouldn't take too terribly long. clipping isn't a valid excuse.

Everyone knows that when you mount your horse you safely stow your weapons. Where do you stow them you ask? Well, let's just say that the horses aren't particularly happy about this practice of stowing weapons.

It doesn't matter, this addon fixes the issue. The delay is next to nothing. You barely notice them vanish. Clipping is minimal on most of the items but either way this addon rocks.....

When on horse i first equip another weapon. Then when on horse i equip my first weapon. Then the weapon shows on horse. (i used this trick for screenshots)

If this is such a big deal....
There's an addon out there that let's you wear your weapons while mounted.
