Lowering game and going back to it

Since the patch my game no longer stays in the bg while im looking something up on a browser. Is there any way to get this back? as its the most obnoxious thing to sit there at a black screen for like 3mins while to game comes back even if i lower it for a sec to reread something. Im not sure if i had something selected before patch or if its the change they did to the game when you switch what your looking at.

Saerydoth✭✭✭✭Because full screen is a true full screen mode now. If you want it the way it was, pick windowed (fullscreen). Just keep in mind that full screen windowed has a performance penalty (hence why people wanted a true full screen mode).2
