VR Difficulty change?

    Im not enjoying this game one little bit since the last patch. I cannot solo the solo dungeons, hell, I cant even get past the first couple of groups. It goes like this.....

    Pull, stun, down to one or two mobs for next 10.5 secs, Fight continues, back away mellee, now have to stun again, block whip, melle stun, dead.

    Nearest wayshrine, come back, repeat, dead

    Nearest wayshrine come back repeat, dead.

    Pay all my gold out for repairs, change spec, come back dead,

    Wayshrine, rinse repeat, rinse repeat.

    Really frustrated, and feel that someone has come and taken the best part of £100 quid out of my pocket for free.

    I'm V3 and haven't run into any extremely hard mobs so far.

    Can you guys narrow down where these tough mobs are?

    The Templar nerf was really uncalled for, we already got the worst magicka management in the game, now its nerfed even more. Channeled Focus is a joke with its 10 magicka pr sec. And to use it solo is rarely a good option, cause its important to keep moving and rolling in combat, Channeled focus has very limited area we can move around in.

    Resto staff heavy attack is our best bet for magicka regen, when soloing (and this game is all about soloing through the quests) against 2+ mobs its no good.

    Biting jabs is now nerfed so hard its nearly useless, but still the best we got, what a joke.

    Looking at the DK and Sorc Im starting to feel envious, specially because of their easy magicka management and enormous dps.

    There were guys above claiming VR3, but I haven't noticed any significant buffs there.

    No. No ,No. They did something close to Diablo3 release week Inferno difficulty.

    DS combat was rarely cheap.

    I have a quest in Maladal Tor where I have to kill a few. 16khp VR9. Fun times.

    Some mobs does seem to have lower normal hitpoint. However their damage is still twice as high if not more compared to prepatch.

    I can testify of this! Tried 5 times to solo one using various tactics, etc and got owned on each occasion. Lowest I got the mob down to was 1/2 health before I got killed.
    Shadow Cloak had no effect on this mob and was hitting me whilst cloaked!!
    Magnum Shot had not effect either - it knocked me back but not them and they were not disoriented at all. :(
    And the speed it was upon me all the time was like....whoa - couldn't even sprint away from it!
    In the end it took three of us to kill the mobs we needed.

    Storm atronachs cannot be CCed. You should know this at VR level. They were difficult before and required plenty of healing and defense to solo. I imagine the buffed versions are equivalent to dungeon bosses now, at least until they get killed and respawn as usual VR versions.

    I noticed three previous comment topics that are exactly what I told members in my guild last night. One being that some NPCs do seem to have had their difficulty reduced. Some mobs go down with the same effort I had to put in prior to 1.2 patch, then others border line the damage output/armor/HP of seemingly public dungeon bosses (yes a touch exaggerated but you get the point).

    I also suspect it is really the higher level VR zones. My NB is in VR8 and having these problems. Now my sorc just finished VR1 in Auridon. The only deaths she took in that zone were from me screwing something up.

    In reference to my VR8 toon, as another person posted, at this point I cannot tell what part of it is jacked up NPCs, or broken NB abilities.

    I will add one more thing I noticed in my VR8. Using the tactical combat add... I noticed that when blocking an NPC power attack, my VR8 was still taking up to 20% of health damage through the block every time. I'm not a numbers person, but that seems to be a really excessive amount of damage to take while blocking an attack.

    I do hope they straighten all this out soon. I would really like to see this game succeed.

    It's really weird. One minute the mobs are pushovers and then suddenly I'm insta gibbed on a regular attack x.x
    Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

    Well i tried it again with various tactics and i can't solo a normal mob of 3 or 4 in v5 areas. im a nightblade player with medium armor for the stamina. I get about 2 or 3 hits in and about to kill one npc but when u see the death report thing. it says they are hitting me for 700+ dmg each! seriously WTF

    before the patch my nightblade could easily does this stuff.

    I would say im a average player not a elite mmo player. i just play when i can (RL crap).

    But the best dmg i could put out in one skill is like 330 ish maybe no where near these npc groups.

    If im going about this in a total award way im defo open to suggestion how other NB's are doing this easy

    Somebody said this before, but I'm going to elaborate a little:

    Werewolves in Glenumbra (VR6) are still high-powered. This includes the boss for the Camlorn (almanac!) quests. I fought him for nearly 5 minutes and couldn't get him under 2/3 HP. Until this is fixed I can't progress the zone.

    BTW don't say "group up" because mid-level VR zones were ghost towns before the patch.

    A goblin shaman did 900 damage to me yesterday. In a single heavy attack, not even aoe, didn't see it coming. I mean trash goblin shaman, vr 2(Stormhaven), usually comes in packs of 3(1 shaman 2 melee fighters).

    Now, don't get me wrong. I like a challenge and I actually appreciate it - having to make a strategy now and all:) But 900 damage...I don't think it's SUPPOSED to be that way.

    I'm also really curious about vet dungeons now. Because my group and me, whom I like considering good, tried them a couple days ago and the second boss wiped the floor with us without a single problem. We might've been just not very ready, but I'm now wondering how much of that was us and how much of that was buffed monsters.

    Even after the server reboot the npc's have epic dmg output its ridiculous.

    last 3 group mob was 690, 697, 593, 721

    Thats from a standard trash mob. Many other in the chat box saying similar things and results. For me atm this game is totally unplayable. Very sad day indeed.

    After a week now things are still annoyingly hard, atleast for me. Might be my gameskills but pre and post patch mobs are not the same.

    I was VR2 before the weekend, been spending time with the Craglorn train (anomolies) to level to VR4. Went back to the same mobs and still die from a pack of two alot.

    Which means I have to ride the Craglorn train for another 7 VR levels, yay fun !

    With the changes Its just not fun to do the VR zones. I get up early for work to play the game for an hour or longer before I have to get to work. In the past I could do a few quest and progress a bit. Now after the patch I just keep dying and can barely complete a one or two quests. So much for having fun with the game.

    It is a literally grind for every single VR quest zone. I am VR10 and it takes me 30 minutes to solo a single town quest usually in AD territory. I understand it is VR10 but I am wearing full blues with enchantments and I have a tank build with sword and shield. How 3 trash mobs can kill me in 14 seconds if I am not doing speed to keep up with them on the keyboard is beyond me. Didn't have this problem before patch and I was in the VR9 zone. Went to bed and got owned. Continue to do so now.

    I have a strange feeling mobs still haven't been nerfed. Or maybe have, but just a bit and still not down to pre-patch level...maybe it was intended that way? I haven't gotten 900 damage from a single trash mob, but I do get 500-600 every once in a while. Which is like 1/3+ of my health...is a single vet 2-3 trash mob really supposed to hit that much? My Clannfear can no longer solo anything but a single skeever(and even that with some difficulty). My Impulse has pretty much no effect because they all have a LOT of health and hit so good I die if I try to use it a lot. I'm not complaining I guess, I like challenge, but it certainly doesn't feel like pre-patch level to me.

    I've also hit a wall in Shadowfen. VR8 mobs seem more like VR10+ and just destroy me over and over. Some of the quest bosses are just impossible to beat solo. I keep logging in and trying but dying again and again no matter how perfectly I try to perform in fights just isn't doing it for me. Add to that the eternal loading screen (sometimes at quest completion)which forces you to have to restart the game and re-do a stage of a quest only to have it happen again can be off-putting.

    VR12 NB and I can solo groups of up to 8 or 10 mobs in Craglorn,
    but no more than 2-3 in VR9 zones.

    Same as a Vet 11 Templar, Crag mobs feel good and right can take out groups of mobs pretty good, were as group of 2 or 3 vets mobs in normal zones that are rank 3-5 will face stomp me.

    Played for a while tonight and most, but not all, of the mobs and bosses seemed to be back to normal. I can only guess it's being worked on.

    Really getting fed up with the difficulty. Unfortunately I got taken in by the 1-50 experience and paid for 6 months sub. If I hadn't I would have quit already, instead I'm forced to play a terrible experience of dying over and over again. Like the VR5 quest I just finished where a harvester mob was 1 shotting me with the frontal cone attack. And before the l2p idiots jump on saying its interruptable/dodgable I had already dodged about 20 in a row but the mob had so much health that it would have taken another 40-60 dodges to kill it.
