    1.42 mB/s on FIOS, here.
    Speedtest.net gives me 57 Mbps speed as we speak, so I imagine the server is full of people downloading, but I'm still surprised the pipe is so small for an MMO.

    I live in a small town in NM that hasnt even gotten fiber-optic cables yet... even on good days my transfer rate is only about 120k/sec

    going today to switch my cell coverage.... then I will be able to tether through my iphone with unlimited data on 3g minimum...

    Got a 12 MB download speed from ISP but we all know thats just a scam. Getting 650 to 700 KB a sec.

    There's a difference between bits and bytes. If you're downloading 1,000 bytes at 1,000 bits/sec it'll take you about 8 seconds. Interwebs suxxor. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can explain it better.

    That's about top of the line.. I pay for 50megabits. and download at 6.5megabytes a second.. Through telus in canada which is DSL.. Don't confuse megabits with megabytes.

    I hope you know that most programs/downloads have an upload "cap" where they can only go so fast to give to you..... Also, that's really slow so I wouldn't expect a high download speed on anything you do.

    You mean 12 Mbps but you should still be getting 1.5 MB/s DL speed

    I'm on vacation and it's satellite internet -- but it shouldn't be this bad. We're trying to figure out what's going on.
