Damage or Tank Build

I play solo most of the time so my build has a little of everything. I wonder - when someone wants a dps or tank what should my stats be to respond to one or the other? (I know I'm not a healer). I have duel yield with heavy armor, level 32 (Redguard Templar) and like to get up close and personal and do pretty well as long as I have a good healer.

I'm told from my guild tank that your stats should be 3:1 ratio of HP to the others. Though that's only one source so who knows.

Many people will say put everything in health and compensate for the rest in gear.

Whether or not this will hold true into future updates of the game, is anybody's guess.

Personally I'm putting points into health, until I reach a point where I feel I need to invest into stamina or mana.

I am far from expert but stamina helps doing shield blocks. When you tank I would think that you use blocking quite a lot. You can block with duel wield also.

Tanks need to be able to taunt, as well as take damage. Taunting, and many defensive skills, use stamina. I would try to keep a balance between stamina and health if you want to tank. At your level you should be able to hit (or at least be very close to) the soft caps on both.

If you want to DPS, that may involve more class skills, which will require magicka...unless you actively create a stamina based DPS build using weapon and guild skills. You can't reach max on all 3 stats, so you will have to make some choices.
