Is Craglorn setting the standard for future patches for ESO.

So it is to my understanding that Craglorn is only made for four people only. that we were forced to go through 60 levels alone and now they're forcing us to wait for 1-4 hours shouting for a group, to do one quest disband, shout for another 1-4 hours to get another group, just to do one quest disband, and yet shout for another 1-4 hours to get another group just for it to disband after doing three quests.

Is this how the rest of the series is going to be forced grouping like how it was in FFXI. I mean tanks and healers are extremely rare in the game, now were forced to group like i said before to wait 1-4 hours on a shoddy LFG tool system, to do one quests and have everybody leave.

I love this game but if this is how they're going to be treating people who like doing solo content and dungeons after they reach max, I guess I'll sell my account after seeing how horrible this patch is. I really dislike how I'm forced to party now, and it seems the rest of the content and xpans are going to be forced party and I hate waiting 1-4 hours to do 1 quest and have everybody quit, but we'll see but I'm not holding my breath.

Dude join a guild... make friends.. play the MMo..

Honestly, the dream was to be able to play the game with other people, we (yes I'm including you) play MMos for the ability to play with others and have fun.

Think about it this way.. they are holding your hand and helping you play the way you have always wanted to.. in a MMO setting with other people.. consider yourself lucky you will have content that you can't stream roll by yourself..

    Yipp Yipp hurrah!

It's not steam rolling through content, I was expecting to get to vet 12 without being forced to group, then doing to dungeons and such but since they're force feeding us groups now, which is pretty much how it's going to be from now on, it's just FFXI all over again but with the Elder Scrolls tag on it.

I have now seen everything... somebody complaining they can't play a single player game in a MMO.

Try Skyrim, might be more suited to you.

No it's the bait and switch. We didn't have to group up to do quests, but had to group to do dungeons, but now they're switching formats and saying, to enjoy this game and do anything now you have to group, which what I said earlier having to shout 1-4 hours to get a group do 1 quest, disband, shout for another 1-4 hours do 1 quest, disband, and wait for another 1-4 hours to do one quest just to disband. I just wasn't expecting to be playing FFXI all over again.

Honestly, think about it... you are complaining about grouping up in a mmo...

You can still hit v12 by doing group dungeons if that is ur prefer thing.. but it seems silly you wouldn't want to adventure with a group of folks, how epic would it be if you got a tank a healer and 2 dps to go out and adventure?

Its pretty awesome just thinking about it, though I can understand your concern, it might be hard to find a group.. I suggest trying to link up with a group of individuals who you enjoy spending time with, try finding a guild.

You don't need to shout, there is a Group tool that gives you a full group for Trials and Dungeons.
At Craglorn you can do everything with passer bye´s as well. ;)

As for future patches, ZO is working on several new additions those are made by specific teams, so that they also work on non adventure zones.

Lol. Over React Much? no wonder MMOs suck now a days, no one wants to do MMO things. So tell me again why you want to pay $15 a month for a single player game?
I group at any chance i get. I also miss Everquest Camps, Leveling, and the community it created. I have a feeling people playing MMOs now don't have ANY clue what that was like

    Honestly, I sure hope so.

Forced grouping? Its a major dungeon! I'm honestly surprised they went with only four people! That's awesome by the way, I can't stand raiding anymore.

We have group dungeons already. Every zone has a group dungeon. There is no bait and switch. They never advertised solo only content either. But this game is so solo friendly its ridiculous if you think this is anything like FFXI.

This is NOTHING like FFXI, where you need to do dungeons, and raids just to progress the story. This is the OPPOSITE of that. FFXI you needed to party just to fight single rabbits and sheep.

But honestly, the OP exaggerates the worst, most inconvenient situation possible just to make their point.

People put together dungeon running parties all the time. And honestly? It will be pretty darn easy to find parties for the new content.

Also shouting? As if you need to. Try the party finder.

I'm pretty sure they're going to alternate between the adventure zone setup and traditional zones. Highly doubt the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests/content will be group driven.

They have no idea what they're doing with VR content. There are maybe 10k people in the entire world who have progressed beyond VR2 and I'm being generous. They have to satisfy the people who have beaten Molag Bal but are currently unsatisfied with the game or this game is going to end up free to play within 6 months. That means allowing people to play solo if they choose to.

I'm hoping that the update is just kind of a compensation for really lacking group content up until this point.

Now, I'm not saying that there's no group content, but there were very few things that you HAD to have a group for, you could easily skip all the group content leveling up, without even trying to skip it. This is now throwing something in that's designed specifically for groups and built around playing with other players.

Hopefully though, there will be further content that's introduced that doesn't require only grouping.

Just because the game is an MMO doesn't mean you should be FORCED to group with other players. There has to be a healthy balance of solo, small group, and large group content for the MMO to stay healthy, and have a large population.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with grouping. people just don't like to be forced to do it. and the trend in current MMO's shows that providing leveling options instead of limiting them is the approach that nets them the most subs. I like grouping. i prefer it as an option. i don't like to have to do it to progress through the larger portion of the game.

Catering to niche groups (of which forced grouping, or forced PvP, or whatever) does not make up enough of a playerbase for a game with this kind of budget to survive on. They will have to add solo content (as well as other content types ) to keep the fanbase widespread enough to keep this game going. or it won't even survive f2p.

I'm sure that, like most MMO companies, their content updates will cycle from base to base. For instance, this one caters to raiders and group centric players. The next one will probably have another trial and but the zone may cater to solo players. The one after that might be a revision to PVP, the one after that might be more crafting features like motifs and customization, the one after that might be expanding guild content, etc., etc., etc...

Mate.. They want it all, and they want it all now. This is major patch number 1, and they are able to add more content? This content could have been added before release!
This surely must mean the ZoS does not have staff who are experts in marketing and game design, and they hate their player base and are trying to upset them intentionally.
Keep up with the rest of the forums please.

At most, you might need to find 1 other person to finish the majority of Craglorn. Especially if you are already VR10 (since anyone of a lower level than that can go to any of the other zones to level, if they wish.)

The bottom line is, if you can't stand the thought of grouping with even 1 other person (no need for it to be a tank or healer, by the way) then your demands are obviously too extreme. Just like ZOS is under no obligation to cater to players who want nothing but group content, they are under no obligation to cater to someone who wants to solo 99% of the content inside of an MMO. And let's face it, even factoring in Craglorn, the percentage of soloable content in ESO is probably pretty close to 99% right now.

Even some of Craglorn can be solo'd. I haven't played a lot of Craglorn yet, but I was soloing stuff in that zone as a VR5. I heard that some players were soloing the entire zone on the PTS. This really is a non-issue.

Who sad you need to disband after every quest? I get what you're saying though but you are exaggerating to the extreme.

BTW did they not say that the veteran over world content was suppose to be solo content during beta?
