Daily Login Issue

My Reset is at 5 am CST. I log in at 4 am CST. My Daily login says 2/99 and is empty, which makes sense
Reset comes, I eat cake, get bars. Check Daily login. still 2/99 and empty
I log out, I log back in .... still 2/99 and empty
I log out and back to password screen. log back in ..... still 2/99 and empty
I shut the game completely Off. launch it. log in.. .... still 2/99 and empty
Why am I not getting credit for the new Daily Log in ?

It seems if you are logged in during the reset rollover, the game does not recognize you as logging in like most of the systems do. So, until it's fixed, I am making sure I am logged out before reset and log back in after reset.

That “next” was from last week, so it should mean this week.
While this is certainly an issue to fix, there is an easy workaround (do not stay logged in during reset), and there are plenty of other ways to get the 20k TP to unlock everything on the free track or the 33,930 required to unlock everything on the premium track — figures which include the max 2k carryover to next season. Daily login rewards provide 15 per day for a max of 1455 points, whereas other seasonal challenges are granting 1k each and there were roughly 2k per week available from the first week of dailies alone.0 -

You seem to think it's a numbers issue. And that would be wrong.
Playing for 11 years, been logged on before reset and played through reset and Daily stuff always triggered. So Explain to me how I was supposed to know for THIS SPECIFIC thing it wasn't going to work? It's real easy to say " log off before reset " AFTER it didn't reset.
And oh yeah, PLENTY of ways to get 20k or 33k. I can just stop everything I'm doing and go to a Specified zone and waste time killing 1000 enemies. That's 1.5k. Or I can just Buy a Years worth of ESO Plus. that's 12 caches. Or I can stop everything I am doing and search for 15 specific nodes- of course 2 different items show up at one node site when it's mining so you clear the node with no benefit - but you need the correct item to spawn so you clear it. Thats a whopping 60 pts.
This stuff is time consuming and takes away from actually playing the game. ( remember those things like completing quests and zones and achievements ? ) But you Have to focus on this stuff because that's where your gold bars and seals come from. 1 -

Resource nodes are probably the easiest though. Yesterday, I had "15 alchemy resources". I completed that twice just while travelling from the nearest wayshrine to each of the Wrothgar public dungeons. And that was only day 1. Those are only a problem if you ride everywhere at top speed.
But the unexpected behaviour of the daily login is indeed a pain. No one had to worry about what time it was with the previous system, so no one should have to worry about it now either. And yet...
It makes me wonder if ZOS developers are making use of AI coding tools. Because the lack of big picture knowledge and appreciation for edge cases is exactly the sort of thing that a coding agent would not have.
