Trying to unlink my ESO account from a friend's Epic games account

I just found out that i am unable to unlink my ESO account from my friend's Epic games account and i am wondering if it is possible if a dev would be able to help me? I also heard that there are adverse effects to both the ESO account and Epic Games account but im not entirely sure what would happen.
