Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Nice video, especially the Cyrodiil scenes. It's funny tho, I didn't see any signs of the lag/latency issues that continue to plague us and worsen with each day. Is that a different server and how do we get into it?

It's a fantastic trailer for the game however as the above comments have already shown I don't think you're going to get much love from the playerbase until core issues are fixed.

You're continuing to sell the game on "play whatever you want" and "huge epic battles" which sadly are not realities found when reaching the ending parts of the game.

@Sotha_Sil You know this game is the second most popular MMO currently, right? I'm sure it has over a million subscribers, or did shortly before going B2P at least.

I watched the English version a couple of times over my lunch break here and no where in that version is any line like this. I was curious what part of the French version had that. I suspect that the French translation is in error or contains dialogue that was cut.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured out how to get the French version so I know where they say that.

ESO had more than 1mil Subs before going B2P, not hard to believe there is at least 2mil active players now..
More than GW2 and Swtor for sure..And well FFXIV isn't really very strong in the West.
Hell even WoW dropped to 7mil (out of which is max 2-3 million in the West)

If it has only 1m then it's NOT the second most popular .. WOW has 7m (yes, down from 10m post-WOD but still a number ZOS can only dream of) and FFXIV 4m

@Bloodfang what has the 'West' got to do with anything, that said there are still more 'westerners' playing FFXIV than ESO, you can count on it. it's VERY popular outside of Japan, I doubt however you've ever seen it so you likely don't know anything about it.

At least use the realistic number. WoW is the most played in the East where Asians pay by hour. Paying just one hour counts you as a Sub. Ever since Pandaria launched there used to be 70% of total WoW playerbase from the East, you do the math, but I'm pretty sure WoW is at around 2mil subs in the West right now.

Also FFXIV never had 4mil Subs, they sold a total of 4mil copies. And their main playerbase is in the East anyway.

We're still in 'boom' phase. I'm sure there will be a drop in activity once the market stabilizes since that's what tends to happen with many mmos. Everyone buy at release/expansion/big update then drop it after a few months. WoW just lost 3 mil subs in a span of three months since WoD losing everyone they just effectively gained. The number you -want- to look out for is after they depart. Give or take I say ESO will be 4th after FFXIV and GW2 who are BOTH releasing an expansion VERY soon. SWTOR and ESO will be contesting due to the fact SWTOR is releasing another story expansion and the vet grind will surely push out a lot of people since ZoS is too focused on console release at this point of time. Post-Vet Grind removal? 3rd or 4th place for sure depending on how good HoT and Heavensward do.

Yeah i thought that was weird too. We only have 9 Provinces available to us.
    • Black Marsh
    • Cyrodil
    • Elsweyr
    • Hammerfell
    • High rock
    • Morrowind
    • Skyrim
    • Summerset Isles
    • Valenwood

Unless they consider coldharbor one but that more a different dimension than an province.

You sir are quoting from Provinces of Tamriel book which was written in 3E 400-500. In ESO:TU we are playing in the 2E 582. In second era there was also a desolate area known as Craglorn which wasn't part of any Alliance or the Imperium itself. Thats why they talk about ten provinces.

    When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
