Wabbajack and guesting. An abuse story.

They do need to fix the ability of someone to be guested in one campaign, yet simply use "travel to player" to guest in another campaign to which they are not assigned as an actual guest (essentially, circumventing the guesting lockout system). That cannot be working as intended.

Someone has already listed the exact passage in the official FAQ stating that it is an intended mechanic, please scroll up.

I honestly don't see a problem with it. Wabba is full? It's full for everyone. Sure it means your queue is longer b/c some non wabbalag folks are in there, but if you really want to get in it's almost always <30min wait.

All it does is save someone the 24hr timer to switch. If a faction wants a presence, they will get their presence. Get your warbanner on and recruit more for yours instead of crying. Honestly, compared to all the other problems plaguing pvp, this is a non-issue.

See, this is utterly illogical. If all anyone has to do to guest in a campaign is "travel to player" - then why have an actual guest mechanic at all?

I agree, guesting does indeed ruin campaigns.

But OP, you are in the lead! It only make sense that the 2 other factions decide to do things to screw you over in the end.

    It's just best strategy wise.

Considering one of the aspects of this game is being all on 1 server - I don't believe we should be restricted from playing with out friends on other campaigns. Most of my friends don't even play on Waba, at all so that means I just don't get the option to pvp with them at all? just because we picked different campaigns?
    - Sounds silly to me

Because you want to be able to play with your friends without forcing them (or yourself) to swap campaigns.

Near as I can tell, OP has three complaints:

    1) The other two factions team up against us. You're in the lead -- that's how 3-faction PvP works.

    2) People use "travel to party member" to exploit into Wabba. This is explicitly described as intended behavior, not an exploit, by ZOS

    3) That 'exploit' allows AD to gain superior numbers. Nope. The queue still applies when pop is capped.

So, other than having everything wrong, he was spot-on.

So you can access at least two campaigns at all times, even if none of your PvP friends are playing.

Please keep in mind that most of the other campaigns are dead. Anyone who doesn't have Wabbajack as their home may have no other options to find large-scale PvP on a consistent basis. They either guest/ travel or go back to... whatever PvE stuff they like.

So, you can complain that all these interlopers are ruining Wabba somehow, or you can remember they're just other players, like you, looking for a PvP campaign which includes actual PvP. Presumably, ZOS will cut way back on the number of campaigns soon, so this is less likely to happen.
