FIX FORWARD CAMPS

Don't even give me the *** excuse that "oh we can only fix so much at once because we're bad" devs. This has been an issue since beta; this has always been an issue. FIX IT. This is a core mechanic of Alliance War and everyone feels like they're playing craps when they put one down. Leave mercs out for all I care, nerf BE to cost 1000 magicka and make talons only hit 1 person, I DON'T GIVE A F#%K, just fix the Forward Camps and stop giving in to your ADHD when your working.

    Why should I calm down? I'm invested in this game and it's disappointing when they don't fix basic but essential parts of the game such as this.

    Forward camps are STILL bugged? they have been bugged since April!(I did not PvP in beta, so idk about beta) this is not good:( not good at all. I was planning to make a PvP build, and solely be someone who sets down forward camps for everyone, idk now.

    Yes they are bugged. Been like that since beta. In fact, it can happen to all siege equipment.

    Yesterday I placed an oil pot down and it wouldn't let me interact with it... :(

    Poor little oil pot... :'(

    Why should I calm down? I'm invested in this game and it's disappointing when they don't fix basic but essential parts of the game such as this.

    Not to degrade anything. But how are you invested in this game? Are you a share holder?

    Add PvP loot drops for some risk/reward in this game.

    They could easily fix camps if they gave the players who put down the camps the option to burn them.

    So if they're bugged, you can now just burn the camps.

    It's a quick solution, not a permanent one.

    Couldn't have said it better myself! And while there at it, fix the weapon switching lag that's so unreliable right when you need it. Always gets me killed! This game is becoming an absolute joke. They keep taking our money and not fixing the things that are getting everyone angry and frustrated. There more interested in releasing crappy PvE stuff.

    Yes because owning a company's shares is the only way to be invested in a game right? Time and effort are worthless right? What if you had a Netflix subscription but 50% of the videos you had a subscription to didn't work or required many hours of streaming beforehand to watch, you would cancel your subscription wouldn't you? I started playing beta in November; it was an issue even then and plenty of people of people have bug reported it since. This is a common issue, and one that plagues people at all times in Cyrodiil.

    @Limitless‌ had the excellent suggestion of allowing the player who put down the camp to be able to burn it. Simple and easy solution to this problem (or so one would think considering all the game mechanics needed for it are already present)

    The bug that affects the forward camp and all siege is that you can no longer interact with them. If it's a ballista you can't fire/use it and if it's a camp you can't see it on the map or spawn there.

    To set it on fire you'd need to be able to interact with it. If you could interact with it there'd be no problem in the first place.

    They just need to fix the damn bug that makes all these items un-interactable.

    Uh no im sure they would introduce new bugs by implementing this, by all means dont make them write new code.

    Just fix what we already got.

    Because it bugs out for allies and not for foes.

    Point still stands, that there's no point adding a "burn" interaction for an object you can't interact with, if it's gonna bug out and you won't be able to burn it like fire it or pack it.

    Since this game has started, I'm pretty sure I've laid out 30x more siege than forward camps, and the bug has only happened to my siege like twice, whereas for forward camps I have to worry about each one bugging out. Two of my friend's forward camps bugged out back to back. This bug is exceedingly more prevalent in forward camps than in siege. No, Zenimax doesn't know how to fix anything, so I'd rather they allow players to burn their own forward camps since the mechanism for players burning forward camps already exists

    Tonight it was literally every single keep siege we had a bugged forward camp. Its beyond frustrating

    By this point it's not a bug, it's a "feature". Inb4 new pvp passive: "increases the odds of forward camps actually working"

    they are currently working on a fix for the bugged forward camps

    i do wish that they'd communicate better regarding this ie put in a sticky thread that sits at the top of the Alliance War section of 'known bugs and exploits, and what we are doing about them' - wishful thinking

    have also suggested that when deploying a forward camp that you have the option of clicking on an option for *group* *guild* *zone* in terms of who you allow to use it/see it on map

    in order for that to work the footprint would need to be made considerably smaller since the griefing tactics that would result from this would be huge - enemy 'spy toons' setting up a forward camp that nobody else could use

    that would lead to another set of exploiting where a whole bunch of smaller footprint camps could be set up and used as an insta teleportation system and the only way i have thought of to get around that is to have that you can only rez at a forward camp if killed by an enemy player, or an NPC guard INSIDE a keep - no more resource suicide fast travel to forward camps
