Emperor and Unsubbed players

So I have a slight complaint, but its not as big as all the other things wrong with this game.

Emperorship needs to be reworked.

I come from a very low pop campaign, where battles are small and infrequent. I am 3rd in line for the throne, but the 2 people in front of me have unsubbed. the first place DC is 800k AP away from me.

DC has crowned him 4 times since he stopped playing, and every single time, I have been there. To no avail, I can't be crowned. There is no point for DC capping all 6 inner keeps, and if we do, we don't have an emperor to defend them. EP has no problem, AD used to have no problem(until their emperor trading guild stopped playing).

I guess it's kinda disheartening to crown someone 4 tiems in a row who stopped playing. I wish there were other factors that decided emeprorship other than AP

here's my suggestion:

The Person must be online to receive emperorship. IF they unsubbed they should be kicked from the leaderboards.

Just a small crappy complaint. Fix other bugs first, please!

i vote for once a player has been been crowned emperor in a campaign, if he is deposed, he cannot be crowned again - he keeps his leaderboard status, his AP etc, but next time his alliance captures the throne, the next person in that alliance below him that has not been in emperor in that campaign gets the title and bonuses
- it would reset at the end of the campaign term when the leaderboard resets

They now maintain the emperor listing and leader board rankings in different area's, so it shouldn't be that hard to alter the emperor board. Dleatherus has the right idea.

I thought that if the number one was offline it was number two that was crowned?

didn't check this, but are you sure?

It would be silly to have to be online to get the crown. It would just mean macroing off in some corner before you went to bed if there were a chance to get it.

I've crowned him many times, with even the #2 offline

There should be a detection system that detects if you have unsubbed or have been inactive for 2-3 weeks

I've been on Chrysamere with @swampraider since the beginning. I have seen this happen over and over again. Eros has been working hard to keep this server kicking as much as possible, has arranged help from other servers to come to Chrysamere to combat the guesting of other factions, coordinated with EP innumerable times to stop AD, and has done all this while still being a pretty nice guy. It pains me to see this happen to Eros, the DC faction on Chrysamere, and the game generally. Zenimax, please fix this before shutting down the campaigns. In my very humble opinion, Eros (with his dumb little bow) has earned this distinction several times over.

unfortunately,
Guess who showed up after 3 weeks of being AWOL...our Emperor. It was a very brief appearance, a good ol 30 minute *** for tat, where we asked him many times over if he is going to play more or quit the game, but still got no response.

I do hope Emperorship gets fixed in the long run

I believe leader boards need point decay, So if you get 2mil points, but do not play a minimum amount of time generating AP in your home campaign, then your points start to decay, more rapidly for less active players.

This way it gives incentive for people to play, and closes that massive gap some farmers have achieved.

By disallowing the same Emp to be crowned twice you essentially force emperor swapping, which may make some former emperors simply leave to another campaign and get emperor there.

Emperorship isn't about being voted in..its about most AP. Get the most AP..Become Emperor..that should stay unchanged..Unsubbed emps on the other hand shouldn't even be registered in that campaign anymore.

Its an obvious glaring flaw someone overlooked.

I say...

Give us a little RP functionality where an alliance can hold a grand feast in honor of the emperor.... Where the emperor auto attends, however a player of the same alliance can attempt an assassination; of coarse the easiest being the guy sitting to the emperors left with a coup de grace so hurry to those chairs! If successful you the emperor is disposed and auto switched to a new campaign.

I think the emperorship is fine personally. Only talk of it is for people that feel cheated of it or want a "Competitive" edge up in claiming it.

I am sorry, but those complaining about "night capping" as if it were some type of exploit need to relax and take another look at it. I work at night, and on my days off I am often up late as well. My schedule is just that way. I have found a guild with a number of players who are either night shift workers or from vastly different time zones (Australia comes to mind, as they have no dedicated server and frankly they probably see little difference between performance on EU and NA servers), and we end up doing our organized PvP after 9 pm. There are plenty of players who organize and PvP earlier within the guild, but I know we get accused of "night capping" as if it were an intentional "exploit of others' sleep schedules." It is ridiculous to think that just because the majority of players in certain zones play at the same more standard times, the minority should be effectively banned or otherwise discouraged from playing when it is convenient for them to do so.

Night capping isn't the exploit some of you think it to be, and any "fix" would really just be prioritizing the gaming experience for one demographic over another.

They shouldnt have named it emperor in the first place. 'Emperor' is a title befit of those with grand causes. Having 20 different emperors over a span of 2 months is.........how do you call it........makes the title look cheap and unmajestic

I vote for 'steward' or 'ruler' but not emperor

only title that befits most, not all, former emperors these days is "Title Flipping Farmer"

Is there any 1 single of the aspect of the game players have not complained about and wanted changed? FFS , save up some dough and produce your own games. Apparently everyone but ZOS knows what people want.

With that out of the way, there are several "glaring" issues with how things in game were executed and yes Emperorship being one of many. I guess at least most of the title trading guilds all moved to Wabba along with their coordinated cross realming to make them easier to avoid.
