Strange sounds at random times...

occasionally, when playing, this sound starts playing- it sounds kind of like a barking dog being pushed into a metal cage, or something along those lines. It's never coming from any particular direction, and it happens in every zone, from Khenarthi's Roost to Reaper's March. I wish I knew what this sound was intended to be, so that maybe it wouldn't bother me so much.

That is what happens if either the soundcard, the soundcard drivers or the soundfiles are damaged.

it's definitely not that. it doesn't sound like it's broken or like anything's corrupted, it just sounds out of place among everything else, like it doesn't belong there.
I'll see if I can get a recording of it during my play session this time. it seems like it only happens inside safe areas like large cities.

TjeerdSoul ShrivenYes, that definately is an out of place sound. Did you try a game file repair in the launcher? It also might be a very rare bug, where the wrong ambient sound keeps playing. Sounds annoying indeed.
Best sollution might be to make a ticket for game support and link to your recording.0 -
seneferab16_ESO✭✭✭I have a similar thing; an ambient sound that sometimes plays in the background and has absolutely nothing to do with the quest I am on or the area I am in. It doesn't sound anything like yours, though. Mine is more darker and makes me think of a huge factory filled with hard working slaves. There are a few sence tigers in KR. On the plantages in particular.
