Have you tried the grotto template. I'm not sure if that one's any different.

They are going to get us better templates hopefully.

In the meantime, if you want a work around to get to the VR zone you'll need to take the broken down looking wagon near the gate on the opposite side from the Way shrine. Hold on, that's only going to take you to Wayrest. You're going to have to walk to Glennumbra. Discover any other wayshrines you pass along the way. As soon as you step into Glennubra the Daggerfall way shrine should activate. Pop over and you should get the first of the main quests. Yeah, so you're basically going to have to rush through the main quest to get to the VR zones, as well as discover way shrines the old fashion way.

Hopefully a new template with discovered way shrines is introduced soon.

It's a slight bit of a hike to get to Daggerfall/Wayrest (/brainfart) at first but doable. Besides what a better excuse to burn off all those sweet rolls, right? Once you start running you're going to notice though that the mobs are not VR ranked they're lowbie mobs and easy peasy. I'm just now finishing up Fighter/Mage guild questing "catch-up" and have the main quest line to the point where I can get to Coldharbour and can (hopefully) flip mob levels to VR status.

Hint: Start out just pick up Fighter/mage guild quests(s) and main storyline ONLY. When you leave a guild hall after doing the first mage or fighter quest there will be an instant spawn right outside to continue those quest lines. Now when you get the quest you can open the journal click on one of those quests and click on "M" map you should see the wayshrine to that nearest to the major town hub (one discovered Harborage will always show and can be ported to at anytime) it should show you the nearest Wayshrine to the next major city where the guild quests are located.

At least that's how it's been working so far for me. I haven't really all ran that much since I got to Daggerfall. Just have to figure out how to manipulate the map correctly.

When you create a character look to the upper left hand corner there should be a drop down window you can click on and choose Craglorn.

(note: you can select Daggerfall faction characters only)

I beg to differ. Picked up mage and fighter quest(s) in Craglorn and The Prophet spawned once I got to Daggerfall bummer thing is, it was the level 3 starter quest.
