Improved Crafting Interface - PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT DEVS/ADMINS

So, as a crafter, many people who buy from me would like to know what the armor/weapons look like as well as what colors the item will be. However, I know the coloring won't matter much once dyes are released.

But to continue, I suggest a preview option where you can see the gear on your character. Along with this, you can add this preview option to be available when an item is listed in chat. Therefore resources are conserved and you have happy customers.

Has this been talked about Zenimax?

I asume a item "preview on current character" is on it's way. But it is not yet ready.

Might also be that this is one of the things that fall under "ESO is shy about being an MMO", but I hope not.

Do you know I am not saying this as a fangurl, but I really enjoy cutting a new pattern and trying it in all the various styles before choosing the style of choice. I know it won't help with colour (and grr why does 'improving' the stats of an item worsen the colour, usually?).

It's also a useful practice for offloading surplus mats, levelling up my crafting and making some gold when I NPC the discarded clothes.

lol then they shouldn't have called it Elder Scrolls ONLINE.

But either way they could even have what Skyrim had, where you can zoom in on an item and rotate it, although seeing it on your character would be much better. I just want this to get the Devs/Admins attention.

What i have noticed about ESO is that in its attempt to innovate it seems to have missed previously innovative features in the genre. Dyes for example.

Its a wonder if they either planned to slow roll these changes/improvements all along or are developing based on epiphany.

However, the fact that it seems to be happening is comforting... and yes i hope there is a "preview model" for all gear, whether crafted or acquired.

Nah, maybe they should have called it ESO UIDOESEVERYTHINGFORYOU

Though to be honest, I don't get the point you were trying to make. My point is, making your own preview is fun and costs you nothing.

@KariTR - Cutting patterns and trying outfits to model for your potential clients... hmmm.

    Two words: perpetuating stereotypes

PS - btw there's nothing wrong with that and it's decent counterpoint. Now let me go back to making my Kahjit breasts bigger.

Previewing items is a basic feature that most MMOs are released with. And with the vast variety of clothings/armors/staves/bows/melee weapons it only makes sense to have a preview. I don't think I should have to waste expensive items like purple and gold tannins just to show people what they could get, just to scrap it in the end.

I went into crafting to make money, not to lose it. but that's just me, if you want to have an ESO fashion show then go for it.
