7 Improvements I'd Like to See

So I've been playing ESO for over two months, I was an avid beta tester before that and absolutely LOVED Skyrim (open world roleplay/exploration for the win!). My main is currently level 29. I have five alts that I touch once a week (but only when friends are on and we're trying to keep even level progression) but I find my desire to log in everyday and keep playing is starting to wane...

Now I've seen the updates regarding the upcoming dye system (fabulouuuus!), and I'm sure Craglorn will be fun once I'm ready for it, however I think there are still some improvements I personally need to see put in place over the next year that would keep me going well beyond that. So without further ado, here's what I'd like to see:

1) Reduced emphasis on "Heroic" PvE achievements.
-- Yes, I know the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood are coming, and that there'll be some kind of justice/morality system put into place, but I really hate the emphasis on my heroics in the early level. For instance, one mission in Stonefall has the locals cheering you on as their savior and liberator - which sucks because I'd rather roleplay the bad guy that enslaves them all! I get why its there, but this game does tend to lead the horse to heroic waters like it or not - and that's not going to fly when my villainous character is trying to be anything but helpful. So going forward, I'd like to see quests/open world content emphasize the player's ability to do wrong (and be publicly reviled for doing so).

2) Costume Slots
-- So I love gear and costumes. I tend to carry around various sets of light, medium and heavy armor pieces that compose a set - but that eats up a TON of inventory space and sometimes I get those set pieces confused when trying to wear them, or sell to a vendor (eek!). I'd like to see some kind of costume/wardrobe/armoire slot in-game so I can save my ideal costume set(s) and store them for easy access without using up my inventory space. Skyrim had costume mannequins incorporated with player housing which might well happen here eventually, but I still feel its worth emphasizing.

3) Jousting
-- This one's a no brainer. We've got mounts, we've got weapons, so how's about some innovative horseback combat? Not really something I've seen done in games before (although Skyrim introduced combat on horseback which was nice). I think with the right supporting content that jousting could be a lot of fun (especially in Cyrodil PvP scenarios).

4) Necromancer Class
-- Another no-brainer. We really could use an archtype that focuses solely on mastering the darker side of magic. Sure its zombies galore, but maybe add an alternative tree path for ESO's answer to voodoo as well? I'm sure there's a lot of ways folks could go with this, so I'll let others carry the torch to suggesting a better genetic make-up for this type of class.

5) Improved External Environments and Malleable Landscapes
-- I've said this in another thread, but the outdoor maps in ESO leave a lot to be desired. Go 50 yards in any direction and you'll find yet another town with another set of merchants, another waypoint and the same recycled architecture you saw 5 towns ago. Yes, this is very cookie-cutter ESO but its not very organic immersion. Each town should have its own distinct look/feel that shouldn't be felt anywhere else in game. I'd also like more reasons to not just explore the world but *change* the world as I come across it. As a villainous player, I might want to set fire to a town or knock over a prized set of ruins. As a heroic player, I might want to come along and put out that same fire, or help reconstruct the ruins that others have seen fit to destroy. The more I can not just explore the world but *alter* it (at least enough for other players to come back and correct) the better.

6) Crop Farming/Plantation Ownership
-- I'm sure there's many crafting options still to come (jewelry crafting probably being highest on the list for some) but I'd like to suggest a more "one with the land" approach to ESO. It's enough to wander the world searching/reaping for logs, jute vines, etc but what if I could purchase a farm/plantation somewhere and *grow* or *mine* these resources? Again, taking a nod from Skyrim's housing system, running any sort of homestead would mean defending one's estate from invaders. PvP plantations in Cyrodil especially might make for an intriguing new game event, and the sim-like economics of running a farm/plantation (and perhaps even managing a farmer's market where other players could come to buy/sell from afar) would really bring a deeper, more rewarding sense of immersion and community to the game.

And finally - last but not least...

7) Daedra Skill Tree
-- How lovely that some folks want to become a lowly werewolf or vampire! Fortunately I have higher aspirations than that. I'd like to see a skill tree that allows players to start the path towards becoming a true deity of ESO! Whether it be good or evil, the trials and tribulations that come with the path to mythological ascension must be highly concentrated Veteran content. Find ways to master one's deific powers, yes, but use them wisely to mentor a variety of cult followings across the regions (but beware! Where one cult appears to praise you, another may come together to hunt you and put you down...). A reputation system could potentially drive this skill tree in either a PvE or PvP system -- and who wouldn't want to hunt the New Gods as they appear in Cyrodil...?

So there you have it. Not the most conventional list of "most wants" that players have been requesting for ESO, but I like the way this game thinks outside the box and wanted to suggest content improvements that do the same. Absolutely if even one of these suggestions made it into game down the road, I would keep playing for years to come!!!

Thanks for listening, and happy gaming! :)

Before they start to work on new things, they need to fix the current things.

    No class balance at all.

    Weapon skill lines are broken.

    There's still bugged quests.

Once everything is sorted out, then maybe it's time to add new things that will break things again:) Till then I think they should just focus on trying to get the game in a state of out of shambles.

They also need to fix grouping for this MMO.

True but those are the same complaints/requests you see in *every* MMO game, and fixes like those don't take forever and a day to resolve. I trust the devs to get these issues fixed soon; my post is looking beyond the bug squashing/balancing - and for good reason.

Great list. I do agree it needs to be on the back burner a bit as things get ironed out, but great list for the future.
