Curious about Weapon damage/Spell power?

... and how they work?

As far as I know, weapon damage boosts is exact number for damage, so if you have 10 weapon damage, its 10 extra damage with melee light and heavy attack?

Is that the same case with spell power?

Wondering how much benefit does the Molten whip boost does for fire spell, haven't got faintest idea about the numbers when that skill is slotted.

I posted something similar and no one knew, but in searching for an answer, I found this which might be helpful to you.

Righto, so magicka also boosts spell damage that I had no idea about. So extra 10 spell damage from molten whip would be beneficial for fire spells, I suppose...?

The Spell Damage stat has nothing to do with max Magicka. It is a separate stat that increases your spell dps. It can be increased in a few ways such as jewelry enchants and a few buffs.

Increasing your Magicka increases your Magicka pool, raises your spell dps directly, and has no effect on the Spell Damage stat.

Weapon Damage is based strictly on the weapon you are using and some buffs that raise it. Increasing your Stamina increases your Stamina pool, raises your weapon dps directly, and has no effect on the Weapon Damage stat.

Weapon Damage affects all weapon abilities, even your Restoration and Destruction Staff active abilities.

    Death Recap for Templars
Have you tried rerolling to a Sorcerer or Dragonknight?
Templars do more dps than DK's.

Uh, well ok... Then I've read wrong info. But does anyone knows how numbers behave for spell damage stat? Is it 1:1 ratio, like for weapon damage or something else?
