This is something that have been bugging me most in this game. Some have experienced it but can't put words what it is, others claim they haven't while others claim they haven't and as they haven't the whole world haven't.
What I'm talking about is animation queues on several of the monsters in the game. Per example Heat Wave from Pyromancer mobs. Often I end up dead of "heat wave" that I stood in, yet I started taking damage from heat wave 2-3 seconds before the monster started casting it. Other times you have the heat wave coming towards you, you dodge, yet still you take damage from it.
Another example is the Storm Antronach in the Archives. His AoE ability isn't difficult to predict and easy to avoid, had it not been for this exact same problem. You start taking massive damage while he's doing the animation, and since you have around 3 seconds to get to safety, time is of the essence. I've seen more or less whole trial groups gone to pieces because of this.
These are only 2 examples, I've encountered numerous incidents of this throughout my levelling. The server's location doesn't have too much to say about it, the package size you send and receive in this game isn't that big, so server location doesn't have that much to say. And beside, for my sake at least, I have 60 Mb/s fibre line that manages to send and receive larg packages with a server in Boston (I'm in Norway) with only a 10% drop in speed.
They really need to address this issue and would really much like to see some update from them about this.
