Forgive me...what is a deity?
So what was the point of crafting again?

I realize some folks will rejoice that you now have a gear grind to get after. Two groups that I can see having an issue with this are 1) crafters, who were told from the beginning that the best gear would be craftable, and 2) dedicated PvP players that will now have to go back to PvE, yet again, to enter a gear grind-fest. I, unfortunately, fall into both categories.
You may be right, but they may also find some way to integrate crafting into the mix. It seems, given your points, what might be perfect would be item drops that are needed in crafting. For an example using Enchanting, imagine a really rare Aspect rune that's a reward. This would actually solve both problems. It would make crafters more valuable, while still rewarding the folks who put the time in to find these great items.

Like the Aeedra/Daedra/Sithis/Void.
But no I think what they meant by this, rare items with unique models and uncraftable sets will drop.

I'm all for crafting guys, and I have BS, clothing, Ench all maxed.
But right now, I can literally log in once per day for about 2 minutes, and in a month I'll be able to craft the best gear in the game. Someone could run AA Trials for 5 hours a day, clear the bosess every week, and would have worse gear.
8 Trait sets are the only things that should be better then PvE dropped stuff. The point of PvE progression is to slowly get better gear and learn fights to progress.
If you could have all the best gear before even entering a Trial...how will PvE gear progression work?
All that being said, I am more of a PvPer and they NEED to buff the PvP sets. 625K takes alot longer to achieve than any PvE piece or crafted piece.
Crafting should be equal to the best, otherwise what is the point of crafting?
Have your gear grinds for the best gear, but don't take away from the crafters either.
Players can have the choice to grind crafting for best gear, or grind content for best gear.
