kill the orbs, if early bosses weren't nerfed you would know this but they were so, kill the orbs they heal her

The mechanics of that quest are buggy. Your backup is pretty much useless. That harvester spams both the feasts and her high damage stun. Your attacks don't always fire off in anything like a timely fashion, if they fire at all.

AOE the orbs, that might help. I last tried defeating that one at level 45 and failed because of all those issues.

When she grabs you break out of it so you have more time to hit her and to get out of the way of her next 3 prong attack.

Not sure but I think this was the one where when I used tab targeting on the orbs, they kept hitting her instead. Only time I've run into that and finally had to go w/ aoe approach.

I was using a NB-Dual against a harvester like her. I finally realised Whirlwind was my solution and only defending, using magic and Stamina Pots. Don't know how well that'll go against the doppelganger when I reach her though.

    Ranged weapons>Harvesters.

Melee is trickier, since it's harder to catch the orbs and dodge her cone attack.

I tried her once at the level it unlocks but failed hard on my Templar.

Did her again at level 47 or so and just went in, aoe her with Solar Barrage/Cleave and Ult Crescent Sweep and she dropped like nothing. I had to heal once and pot once if I remember well.

You need to kill those orbs as mentioned because it's what heals her.
If it's done properly she should be a Daedra so you should be able to use Fighter's Guild stuff against her too. But that needs to be checked by other that still needs to do her.

This boss sucks. I've been trying to kill her several times as a level 30 templar and a) there are too many orbs and b) they pop too often for me to take them all down in time and c) Lyris doppelganger's stun.

As others have mentioned, trying to kill the orbs has failed because you usually end up targeting her. A very frustrating encounter.

    Keep moving!
Spam AoE (for my Templar, a mix of Biting Jabs and Silver bolts). Run away to heal when Health gets low. Kite har away from the orbs and then get them With Biting Jabs when she's a bit of a distance away. If you dare, get Close and give her some whacks With Your melee weapon when her Health gets real low.
Of course in my case it probably helped that I did it pre-Templar nerf and that Abnur Tharn actually made himself useful for a change.

if I am not mistaken (which I could be for sure) but if you destroy the orbs they heal you instead of her. That was the trick for me.

Nova works, too. And Veil of Blades. And Atronach.

If I remmeber right, this fight was the hardest of the quest. It took me at least 1-2 tries myself.

If you see cloudy orbs, destroy them. They are one of two things:
    a) healing orbs that heal the boss if they reach him/her, or heal you if you destroy them (that way it is actually helping you with the fight).
    b) damaging orbs that are best destroyed at range

Look out for the orbs and use ranged attacks to destroy them and be healed. Try to win with magica based abilities or base attacks, as you need the Stam for the CC escape.

You can interrupt her stun. Hold right mouse button, tap left mouse button. Just like a shield bash or spell interrupt. It uses a lot of stamina, but is worth it. Break out of her stun, go smash the orbs. They die easy, so don't waste a high magicka/stamina ability on them. Use something cheap or even just light attacks. Killing the orbs gives you health and Ultimate. I made sure to never completely drain my magicka on attacks but always save some for an emergency heal or two. Saved stamina for blocking/dodging/running/breaking stun. Used Crescent Sweep Ultimate for majority of damage to her. It refills faster and actually has better damage per ultimate point than Nova. Nova is great for taking down a horde of 800 health enemies. But one enemy with 8000 health and a bunch of orbs with like 80 health? Crescent Sweep. YMMV by class, of course, but go for medium damage that you can get off a bunch of times over big damage that is infrequent.

Don't wait too long to finish this. A Level 35 player will have a much easier time (easier being relative, of course) than a Level 36 because you will not be able to use Ultimates against an enemy you are > 5 levels above.

I died a bunch figuring this out. It is probably the first fight in the game where resource management is essential. She has an insane amount of health for a Level 30 boss, especially one who heals up to max if a few orbs get through. That is on purpose so a high dps character can not just nuke her. You *will* run out of resources and you will need to figure out how to handle that and still succeed. You will need to dodge, block, interrupt, and break CC. You will need to pay close attention to everything going on around you, not just concentrate on the boss.

Also, I never tested this, but supposedly your NPC buddy is useless in this quest because they are dead. They don't actually keel over dead, but hit 0 health and then stand there and do nothing. If you can heal them, they will attack again. I wouldn't waste a heal on them over myself, but if you have any skills that can heal multiple targets, go for it. Even if your NPC buddy just distracts Lyris Doppelganger for 5 seconds before dying again, it will free you up to regen resources or kill some healing orbs.

    Good luck!
