Feature I Would Like to See - Save Armor Sets as Costumes

Title pretty much says it all. I outgrew an armor set I really liked, but with bank space being at a premium I eventually deconstructed it.

It would be nice if I could have saved the set as a costume.

It would be even nicer if I could then create copies and sell them.

Not sure how feasible this is, and I know other needs and wants are higher on the list, but maybe this could happen in the future.
The problem with arguing with a jackass is that they never stop braying.

As I understand its a planned future feature, probably so you make you armor look like another piece, this typical destroys the source however you can repeat the process.

Favorite plan: make some VR12 purple set look like the starting rags, now mess around in Cyrodil, enemies will believe you are a low level bot and attack you :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Other armour pieces / sets, and possibly weapons too, could be used as "skins" or "templates" in order to change the physical appearance of other relevant pieces. Obviously, you would probably have to match the type, e.g. heavy for heavy, axe for axe etc.

This was already in use in other games, for example Tera (well, until last patch really), and worked quite well.

We recently had a discussion about it. A system like in Lord of the Rings online might be best.
But just saving a armor's visuals as a disguise sounds like a good plan too. Would propably cut down a lot on the work needed for this.

Vanguard had a system where you had an inventory tab for "appearance' with a slot for each visible slot. Whatever was in there is the look you got on that slot.

Costume would work, but if you've already trashed the gear you made the costume with how do you update it with a new piece of gear you like better? Plus, in a PvP game, shouldn't what you are wearing be accurately depicted on your char look? I think so but the devs must not since we have costumes.

Not that any of that matters. Pretty much everybody is in cloth anyway. Lol

LOTRO disabeled the Constume Slots effect in PvP.
But here we even have class abilities (Bound Armor) that can disguise your armor style/level, so visual identification of armor in PvP is not really a intended game concept. Plus all the disguises you get for free. Like Skelletons.

I prefer a system where you change armor to look like other rater than appearance slots, they have the downside that most just put on appearance pieces once and then forget about it.
Transmogrifying armor forces you to update the look on update.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Seems the zero value armor/weapons are now in the game, seems like a step forward in this direction :)

I would like something that ties the armour styles and colours together. I bit like Swtors unify colours, but matching the style to the torso piece of gear (cuirass/Jack/Robe/Tunic).
