I have heard a month ago ingame that there is a plan
to give an armor dye based on achievement scores as a reward

was this just rumor?

I don't think that's really a good idea for the game.
Achievements are meant to be reward enough themselves and they already give players titles not obtainable in any other way.

I think the most fair system would just be to add dye's as a normal drop from either monster or stashed in items like the motifs are now. However I wouldn't mind if ZOS could avoid the whole "black dye is worth millions because black is so popular it has to be the rare one!"

Yes, I want to get a flying mount as reward ;-) ....just joking about the mount, but I like the idea of being awarded somehow for the achievements, like with titles, duisguises or other things like that.

One of the things eso lacks is rewards.. Feels like theres no reason to get some achievments,If we were rewarded more sure.

I want to be able to buy costumes,Dyes, etc with achievment points D: or be rewarded with them when you get the achievment

Well they've had achievements in WoW since the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Blizzard hasn't done anything with them other than toss out an occasional title or rare pet.

In fact it's essentially the same thing in various MMO's that have them as well as various X-Box and Playstation games. At most it's bragging rights. In MMO's you may get a special title or a rare pet but past that don't expect much in the way or rewards just for achievements.

I wouldn't worry about it too much guys. Dyes are apparently planned and there's a ton of things that they'd like to add to the game before the start of 2015. Keep in mind that it's still a fairly fresh MMO. Let them work out the kinks before we start worrying about the minor things such as cosmetic rewards.

Normally, achievements are something I would strive for in a game, but since in ESO you have to collect them all under a single character, I am not going to bother.

I want to play different characters for each alliance, and not be stuck with a single class to play through all of the games content.

Please MERGE the achievements to the account overall, so that they can be completed by different characters on an account. Then.... and only then would I take the time to try to get them all.

I love the concept of linking the color of specific dyes with the achievements you've earned. Ebonheart Red for unlocking the Ebonheart Pact acheivement.

I do NOT agree with those dyes being normal drops. That's one more inventory item in a game that is already growing too cumbersome for crafters due to inventory issues.

Another thing I saw linked with achievements was possibly furniture and decorations for player housing in the future. One achievement might unlock a painting, another might unlock a style of table, etc.

I'm loving the crafting system, but again, adding a ton of new recipe's and materials, not to mention final product items like furniture, without doing something positive with the inventory system would be bust.

Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

I completely agree with this. I love the house idea. :)

The reward for the achievement is actually playing the content that gets you the achievement filled in the first place. It's basically like an in-game checklist that lets you know if you've experienced most/all of the content in that area, or of that type.

That being said, Zenimax have made it quite clear that dyes will be linked to achievements, though in just what way we're not sure. I assumed when they announced it you would receive/unlock a dye when you completed an achievement. But, like I said, that's just an assumption on my part, it could be something quite different.
