Campaigns for alts?

Why is it that you cannot join the same campaign as your main on your alts? Even if they're the same faction, they cannot be in the same campaign that your main is home in OR guesting in. After a few alts you're unable to get them in even a disputed campaign and you're stuck being in the "Daggerfall Covenant farming campaign #1, 2, or 3" where both AD and EP have almost no presence and the map is entirely blue. There's no fun in that, and since it costs alliance points to switch, if you get your alt stuck in one of those campaigns they're pretty much screwed, as there isn't enough presence to even kill people to get alliance points.

We should be able to pick the same campaign for characters of the same faction at least.

Well I guess I should say Aldmeri Dominion farming campaign #1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.. been awhile since I checked.. what happened to DC? Used to dominate half of the campaigns.

DC used to dominate my main's home campaign which had started out as an AD campaign (and now is one again).

I think it started with the idea of preventing spying in pvp, then they added multi-faction guilds and forgot all about it leaving the system useless and broken. The devs seem intend on forcing us to only play one character, but forget that many of us, if not the majority (no idea what the actual percentage is) enjoy playing alts.

At the very least they should indeed allow alts of the same faction to play in the same campaign, which I thought was already possible, but seems I was wrong. Also what is in dire need is the option to remove guest status from a campaign. I have 8 characters, 1 banker and 7 I actually play. It gets really hard for some alts to find a campaign with the current system.

Turns out you can have 2 characters of the same faction GUEST to a campaign and can in fact home to a campaign that another character of the same faction is guested to so that helps some but it is still STUPID in its current setup because I would like to have all my alts that are in the same faction on the same campaign. In Guild Wars 2 WvW, I constantly switch characters to what my guild or zerg needs me to be on. If they need heals, fields, and back line damage, I go ele. If they need a front line damage sponge and stability, I go guardian. If they need portal bombs and veils I go mesmer. Here I couldn't even really do that, I mean I guess with guesting but then Im not receiving credit for the actions of my alt.

I can totally understand not allowing different faction characters on the same campaign, to reduce spying and eliminate "4th factioning" but different characters on the SAME faction? No rationale for not letting them in the same campaign.
