SPOILERS: Make Veteran Levels optional???

I have to say that once Cadwell told my Nord DK that they should experience the other factions through their eyes it really piqued my interest. "What an interesting direction to take the game"... When I got to the second faction's quest line. I was really looking forward to trying out a Khajiit NB, but by no means do I want to play through that storyline all over again. Needless to say it was very disappointing to find out otherwise. I tried to reroll from scratch and once I got half way through the mission to save Lyris... I was done. I was really enjoying the Daggerfall quest line but hated having to go back through the Harborage quests all over again.

Why not make veteran levels optional? Once you beat the game you can go Veteran or re-roll in a different faction. I would even be willing to start over at Level 1 if I can do a few things...

- CHANGE RACE - Cadwell, already uses a spell to disguise you so why not? Also, my two hand perk doesn't help much if I want to dual wield now does it?

- CHANGE CLASS - Though the class system should be done away with as it is not in true TES fashion, we should just have the skill lines... but I digress... either way who wants to keep using the same skills and spells through three factions?

- CHOOSE FACTION - What if I wanted to give the AD a try instead of DC?

- KEEP SKILL PROGRESSION - Blacksmithing will come in handy for any race/ class but if you reset progression we will never get to those higher level skills or materials.

- Lastly, NOT HAVE TO DO THE MAIN STORY LINE OVER AGAIN. You can even throw us into Coldharbour for the final zone again. I for one want to see how my new build holds up against hordes of Dremora and you can even force us through the "God of Schemes" quest if you want. Who wouldn't want to test their new character against Molag Bal?

Remember the above would only be possible once you finish the game, so you couldn't change things all willy-nilly whenever you wanted to. Do you know how many times people would play their character over and over just to max out progression alone? This would also make it so people can pick and choose race/class/faction/weapon/armor/profession and so on... and actually have it at veteran grade BEFORE going into the veteran content and not be overpowered because they would have to reinvest and recollect skillpoints. They could also adapt their character and strategy for each quest/ dungeon and not be GIMPED TO HELL for deviating from their initial choices.

Now this begs the question: What to do with the skill points you get from the story line? JUST GIVE THEM TO US! Oh no, we start off with what? 8 more skill points than people re-rolling from Cold Harbour... who cares? We still need to level up our new skill lines to use them and haven't we earned them? Shouldn't we feel like our character is a hero of renown? We just banished the God of Schemes himself and became the champion of Meridia! Why not have a slight edge over the people who are starting from scratch? And that is another thing... giving us this option will take care of the loss of community you feel as we will be able to interact with people of the same faction, regardless of their level. When I started vet content, I was even more disappointed to see only a handful of people in any one area. All of which are too busy focusing on their own character to lend a hand or answer any questions. Have you seen the zone chat in those areas? Dead air. Forever alone.

Needless to say I can not speak for everyone else. Regardless I will NOT be renewing my subscription until I get the option to reroll a new character without having to redo the main story or my skill progression. I earned it dangit!

That would be just to much fun for the players. Z/B must punish players for playing the game. No rewards for you! Just mindless grinding, broken abilities, unbalanced classes, useless loots. Have fun, though!
