The 'REAL' Classes of ESO

What I have learned over the past few weeks watching all the 'XX Solo Craglorn' is that contrary to what we think game classes are not DK / Sor / NB / Temp and in fact are:

1) Restoration Staff / Destruction Staff (class ability or random weapon) = Caster or Mage / Wizard

2) Everything else

WoW!!

When someone says 'I'm having a hard time with my (insert class here)', and everyone tells them that it's fine if they just switch to light armor and a destruction staff?

    Yeah, something is wrong then.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

I totally agree. We can add S/S too, for the tanks. These weapons are viable because they are magicka based. I stated my thoughts here --> http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/105709/zos-please-let-the-dev-team-who-designed-the-magicka-builds-now-to-design-the-stamina-builds-too
    I
    Because I can!

Well, now that you've edited the post to say "Everything else," it almost looks like you didn't say that there were no other viable playstyles in the game. Almost.

Still, couldn't you have posted this hilarious, hilarious joke in one of the dozens of other complaint threads?

..again point out my complain please? All I said is in my opinion seems the game is actually classed by weapon with the illusion of 4 'classes' and seeing how its a forum kind of obvious I am looking for feedback to agree, disagree or simply share comments!

Nerfing is not what I would want as immediate response.

Same could be said for most things.

    ie.
    1) Sword & Shield = knight/soldier!!
    2) everything else!

    or

    1) Nightblade with a bow = long range assassin
    2) everything else.

    You can oversimplify a problem.
People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!
    Wizard's first rule
    Passion rules reason
    Wizard's third rule
Mind what people Do, not what they say, for actions betray a lie.
    Wizard's fifth rule
Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self
    Wizard's tenth rule

Ya DW/Bow can be done i have a VR5 with that, however and if you don't agree that Staff/staff builds are much more efficicent and have less down time, then you're just trolling everyone

As a purebred mage (And having played a mage since longer than I care to admit) I don't really want to see the staves nerfed. I love that mages actually got some love in this game. It's...somewhat unusual, given previous games I've played.

That said, I would much rather see other weapons and stamina builds become far more viable. The fact that melees seem forced to lolmage is terrible.

When I see any builds soloing group content, that's a big sign that something needs to be tuned down.

Oh, the builds that use AoEs to take down more critters than intended definitely needs some serious adjustment, to my mind.

What I'm afraid of is that ZOS'll do something more widespread with adjusting the strength of the staves as a whole rather than AoE specific skills used in such builds.

I main Templar, so I've....I've been burned before.

    But you lose either way.

Nerf those players, and you have even more angry customers who are bad advertisement for your game.

Or, buff everyone else, and then your game balance is skewed.

I'm actually supportive of ESO's current approach. Like the nightblade fixes. I wish they'd come FASTER, but I think that could create more problems than good.

So every week, we see a fix here, a small 'nerf' there. That's good. Everyone knows that light armor and destro staves are flavor of the month. Everyone sees the difference between sorcerers/dragonknights and nightblades/templars. VR content past VR5 is hard as hell for most players, and both the VR1 jump and the VR5 jump represent major breaks in the scaling of content.

I really don't want to see everyone playing a nightblade. And everyone would, if they fixed all of our bugs and glitches in one patch, because we are currently strong enough to solo VR content and some group content (without using the stealth bug).

But to just outright nerf the sorcerers and dragonknights? That's just as bad for business. Players jumping classes cause they think the next class is better? going to happen. But when a players class gets 'ruined', they jump games instead.
