Collectors Edition vs. New

kristofferstrutzenblad16_ESO
My friend bought the game a week ago or so. He bought the game for 1/3 of the price of which I paid for. What did I get that he didn't get? The statue and the book. But we were promised that we would get cool in-game stuff and that we would be able play any race in any alliance. Bullcrap! So will he. Why did you go out a month or two after release with this *** that would only be for the Imperial Edition buyers? I quit this game since you couldn't fix the Mac side of the game, the bots, gold sellers and the *** help you provided. Make it free to play. I put down to much € in this game already.

Is this the first product you've ever bought in your life, OP? Becuase this is how it works. Things get cheaper with time. Do you also cry when you see a $60 game for a quarter of it on a Steam sale?

Anyhow, you should have researched what you were buying. It was known that people would be able to get the Imperial Edition at any time, and playing any race in any alliance was never a part of the IE - it was a pre-order bonus. But some stores kept the pre-order pack codes and kept selling them after release. Nothing can be done about it.

Imperial Edition has dropped in a few stores in the UK.

You can get hold of it now for £39.99 (about $60).

And here is why I never buy collectors editions as soon as they come out.

Give them a few months and you can always grab one for a fraction of the price. Amazons great for grabbing cheap collectors editions.

Also, Zenimax doesn't set the price a retail store sells them for. They can recommend but stores set their own price.

This isn't a dig at the game but .... it isn't selling very well where I live so GAME in town is selling the Imperial Edition for £20 ... standard game is £10.

    Prices drop, it happens.

Look at Defiance. Within a few months of it's release people were picking it up for £6.
