I care about PVP not PVE, ZOS stated caltrops will be fixed shortly after 1.1.2, its needing to be fixed now. My whole guild won't pvp until its sorted, its a waste of time, all tactics are useless with this bug.

When is it being patched ?

Unfortunately there are too many people willing to exploit instead of just playing.
My guild works very hard to PvP and to be exceptional at it.

Over the last couple of days we have been fighting 3 guilds all who have more members that we do.
Now 1 of these guilds. I cannot remember their name, messaged us and said "We will not use Caltrops or mercenaries if you do not"
Of course we happily agreed to this. And we had some absolutely amazing PvP.
After about 20 minutes of 4 of us defending a keep against roughly 20 on the interior of the keep this guild then used siege weapons to attack our flag guarding NPCs. Which stops them from attacking. Which meant 4 vs 20 with bugged out NPCs. we got stomped really quickly.
Wonderful!

The other 2 guilds went full haxor and were using caltrops and merc spamming while defending one of their keeps.
It meant that whilst we were not dying, it was impossible for us to capture the keep until their mercenaries disappeared.

Its a really sad to think that players would rather cheat to win that to win through fair gameplay.
What do you get if you win when you cheat? Would you be proud if you captured every keep if your players could teleport across the map and insta-kill everything?
How is this different.

Playing on Wabba as DC I watched AD and EP spam caltrops relentlessly against our hopelessly outnumbered DC defensive crew at an outpost today. Eventually AD got through after we'd wiped both faction's pushes a number of times. In order to do this they spammed a road of caltrops and bubbled on it. They seemed pretty proud to take the outpost. In all this time I can't recall a single one of our guys using caltrops. It may have happened, of course, but I didn't see it.

So I must say well done to those DC guys/girls for playing with some honour and decency in the face of caltrop spamming opposition. Quite restrained and respectable.

It is appalling to see the nature of a lot of the people playing this game but it's inexcusable that the skill hasn't been disabled until it's fixed. ZOS your lack of response has been as disgraceful as the cheaters/exploiters ruining the PVP-lagfest.

That picture is just sad and pathetic. I see that, I go back to PvE or switch campaigns.
Don't give those AD *** the satisfaction. Let them enjoy a few weeks of PvWall until this gets fixed.

We should totally just start a bunch of threads about how Caltrops was fixed and spam "Thank you zenimax" all over zone chat just hoping that the exploiters will stop cheating.

On wabbajack im seeing it less and less..on all alliance sides...but as long as its possible of course someone will throw them down.

Thats because the lag on Waba is too severe to drop a ground target =p

Nothing more true can be said..you win the forums.

BTW it is not just Caltrops. ANy AoE that causes damage will do it too.
