Sorceror solo Craglorn video! Crit Surge = strongest self heal in the game

  • dahl.lucas_ESO
I am a sorc and I don't think crit surge should be THIS good. same with the DK with its green blood. This ability's work just fine when used normally, just when they are fine tuned it gets out of control fast. They need to be some how balanced these two abilities in a way to prevent solo dungeons like this. Also, BE is just fine, that's a learn2play issue.

You don't need a "ton of luck" with 57% spell crit or more...(innerlight 20%, light armor 10%, sorceror passive 15%, twilight set bonus 5%, weapon staff trait 7%)

And that is even without all the spell crit sets out there. If you really want to spec for spell crit, you can get 65+ % crit as a sorceror.

I'm not saying they should nerf it, I'm simply saying Crit Surge is the strongest, cheapest and longest lasting self heal in the game, and it scales extremely well with good gear and damage compared to other heals

It also is a buff so you dont even need to hotbar it to your main bar..

Crit surge is fine as it is, and I am not actually hearing the guy complaining about it - only pointing out that there's been a lot of threads about the sorc's lack of sustain.

Some of you guys could be a little more civil to mysticmonkey - despite his reputation and thread history. The video shows what the video shows.

I think you are slightly misinformed. Exploitation only increases crit chance by 15% when the enemy is under influence of dark magic. The video you posted shows a guy using only dark conversion as the only dark magic skill. So therefore these 15% you talk about cannot be used in this video.
The only way you could utilize these 15% effectively would be using the skill encase and its morph. And guess what. That skill often only works on mob trash and NEVER on bosses or flying creatures. So therefore most of them time the extra 15% cannot be used. Therefore you can only get a max of 42%.

Where are you getting the 65% btw?

Never mind that you need to build entirely for crit for it to be any good and that you still need a target to heal.
Being out of targets usually means that you've won. :)

    Pretty much this.

Also, with Crit Surge as a 20 second buff, you can just have it on the secondary weapon bar, so you are left with 5 DPS abilities on main bar and STILL get the best self healing in the game...

    @monkeymystic‌

So we have established from you that critical surge is cheap, great heal and apparently reliable ( not going to go into this, but I can tell you if 3 mobs are hitting you and you are in light armor, better run or you can't attack enough to have critical surge to be useful to you). You have decided it is OP (although you have never used it) and best self-heal (which I also don't agree with).

So why the hell did you make this thread? If you don't want to get it nerfed and already decided that all these things you are defending are the absolute truth, why are you making a discussion on it? You must know that by putting this up a lot of people with argue with it. So do you like to be controversial and argue? Because you literally just said:
I'm not saying they should nerf it, I'm simply saying Crit Surge is the strongest, cheapest and longest lasting self heal in the game, and it scales extremely well with good gear and damage compared to other heals

So you wanted to bring it to our attention. Great, but what exactly for, if you don't want a nerf for it. Also you don't strike me as a person that brings it to our attention so we can all make use of it and have an easier time.

PS Critical Surge is extremely viable in boss fights I agree with that to an extend but as a heal in normal PvE with massive trash groups I disagree. For that you need more AoE and CC then critical surge that might or might not heal and most likely will not heal fast enough to keep you alive.

And now it turns out that all classes can do it - except templars (still to be proven).

And it won't be. At least not by monkey since a templar is what he uses. Biased forum troll is biased.
