Same here.. Wabbajack has become home to the latest cluster of players. Seems to become pretty FULL lately with at least 1 faction locked and other two vary from 50% to 75% full.

Biggest LAG is when 2-4 Large Groups are on the field in Cryodiil.

I've noticed it in CRAGLORN when 24-30 people are trying to play whack a mole on Anomaly's to get the limited VP (First 12 people apparently get).

I had this problem back in beta. Someone came up with a fix to change some things in Usersettings file.

Edit your "c:/Users/[windows_user]/My Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/UserSettings.txt" so that the following line:
    SET RequestedNumThreads "-1"
    reads
    SET RequestedNumThreads "0"

This is no longer in the Usersettings file.

great, that actually worked for me. I still have some weird lag on activating items and looting, but combat seems way smoother now.

Im playing with a constant 200ms+.

200ms is playable in an MMO. This isn't an fps. And if your ISP is routing you funny (for some reason, and this is causing your spikes) then take it up with them.

@ZOS_HugoP - i will add to this list as well, Wabbajack NA server lag. Just everywhere. Once PvP combat starts with groups of any size, lag spikes. Abilities wont go off. then people in parties start to crash before it. Has been happening all weekend since the patch.

    Ok so I did this

Open your "c:/Users/[windows_user]/My Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/UserSettings.txt" so that the following line:

change these 2 lines to look like this

    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"

cleared up my 3-5 sec lag spikes

So I went to LOL at your post, but my ipad lagged as I pressed the button (Apple hasn't fixed it), so I pressed it again and you got 2 LOLs...LOL, sorry about that!
So, the game ends in a week? Drats, I still haven't capped all classes. Better get on it

I also experience lag on the Wabbajack campaign : not always, but somewhere around 1 to 2 second delays on some occasions. Oddly enough, it is not when there is the most players online.

My video settings are not set to high.

I'm in Wabba Cyrodiil, NA server, constant lag, especially if someone in your group disconnects or errors out of the game. When they join your group you lag. When they drop your group you lag. When they go offline, you lag. When they come back online you lag. And it's not just a tiny hiccup, it's SERIOUS lag. It makes running a guild raid in Cyrodiil practically unplayable. I have my finger on the unsub button. This has been happening since the Crag patch. Please fix it ZOS!!

Hmm I run everything on the highest settings and highest view distance... on a laptop... with no lag. So, is it possible the lag is on your end?

The lag-spikes in Cyrodiil I notice come from people leaving/joining a large group in particular, anything else runs very smoothly imo.

It would seem the lag is potentially related to the number of people in your area... While not 100% concrete, one way to validate is to see if you experience lag spikes when no where near the heat of battles

I had thought that large groups were the issue. Now I usually run solo in zergfest and still see the lag when encountering large groups of enemies.. As usual, it's not always so it's been hard to isolate. I do know that when I'm questing and sneaking around away from the big battles that I never see this lag.

Someone in zone chat mentioned the use of "lag bombs". Aside from graphics, the only other way I can imagine someone directly influencing my game play would be to overwhelm my client with "updates", ie large number of game messages. While I haven't actually done pcaps, it would be interesting to see if there is a sharp spike in messages that is somehow choking my client's ability to process them and real time update my game play.

I'll have to check when I get home tonight ti see if there are any other client settings that static/dynamic limit the number of messages per time slice that I can receive/process. Maybe client/server check each other for performance (cpu..memory..) and determine optimum number of messages?

FYI - I'm using messages not as the term to describe any form of player chat but the updates your client gets in response to EVERYTHING around you; player movement, player actions, environment, in addition to chat and any fancy addons..

Buy a better computer or get a better ISP, server side lag is not something that some people experience, if it was a problem we would all experience it, we dont, i dont

Trust me this game is not experiencing overloaded servers lol zenimax has taken measures to make sure the servers dont get overloaded, mostly by alienating half its population and making then cancel their subs

Problems that everyone doesn't experience aren't really problems. What kind of logic is that?
