GM in Ondil - But I Didn't See Any Bots, Do They Ever Kill Bots in Places Like Bleakrock Isle?
Had just finished a run though Ondil. Saw a usual amount of players, none in soul shriven gear, no packs. Just near the end there was a message from a GM about standing back, not attacking, as he/she was going to kill bots. Do they just randomly load into dungeons like this? Or is there some sort of trigger to tell them?
I know of many places where the harvester bots and bot packs have taken over. Have never seen a GM turn up there to do anything. And was wondering if they ever do?

Mablung✭✭✭✭✭They really don't even need us reporting bots anymore. It is no secret where the bot infestations are. They seemingly just don't care. I am not sure what process they have to go through to identify/verify that a train of 10 players are bots but just by reviewing what is on screen with the naked eye, one would think the process needn't be too difficult.0 -

I saw GMs cleansing bots at least twice (once in a Dungeon, the other south of Rivenspire).
I also see LOTS less bots now than, say, 2 weeks ago. Chat Spam is almost dead, and only happens through the mail.

They werent actually clearing them, they were casting an invisibilty spell on the bots so youd stop bugging them.1 -

You mean lets keep things in your perspective. It is not the same for everyone. Just this morning in Auridon, first solo instance just outside of Khenthari's Hold or whatever it is called, there were about 20 bots in there. I reported 1 and stopped.
Why try anymore?
That is perspective.1 -
What I was curious about is why the GM went into a non bot-infested dungeon. Perhaps there were bots on another instance of it, just seemed odd to get that message in a dungeon that seemed to have normal players and no bot packs.

Yeah totally, just give up already. You bought a new MMORPG in vanilla knowing you'd get new content every few months yet you're crying about slow progress being made in clearing the bot problem? Sure.. Makes plenty of sense? Perhaps you borrowed your mom's credit card too soon?
I came here because there is a sub and it's a great game overall and being updated faster than any mmorpg I've played in the past - ultimately to get away from players suck in their selfish eleven year old mindset (i failed). You don't get to see the full picture when you play the game daily, it's like looking in the mirror everyday expecting to look different. Take a break for a few weeks and let them clear up the issues more.1 -
