Need nightblade advice from a nightblade that owns and they know it.

Not from a nightblade that's like "Hey, I'm pretty good. I can do this and that and yeah." No offense, but I want somebody who has an ego about it. Someone that would stand confidently in front of any other nightblade in a 1v1 and grin as they're about to tear into them.

Ok first off, I cured vampirism because it started to feel like I was playing a vampire instead of a nightblade. I picked nightblade to be a nightblade. Not a vampire. I'm not going to be a vampire or werewolf. I am khajiit. This one likes his fur the way it is.

When I started off this game as a khajiit nightblade, I figured the siphoning line would be the best for solo play. So I really only picked that line for my abilities. Initially, I also picked dual daggers (dual wield) however I never planned on using the abilities for it since they were in the stamina pool. As I went along, I'd try different weapons just to see how they felt. Reluctantly, I found bow to be very powerful. I knew it kinda would be but I wanted to go in and mix it up with my daggers, not rely on bow all the time.

My 5 abilities are all 5 siphoning abilities morphed for solo use, not group. Power extraction is my favorite. I use the siphoning ultimate. I use healing potions.

I've been hearing about volcanic rune that I should be using. I think this is a morph from the mage's guild fire rune.

Anywho, just looking to kill better guys. I'm a soloer. Sure I'll eventually group more, but I want to be using the best skills or whatever. I put the remaining skills into tradeskills. But I have plenty left over.

Thanks in advance.

I like to think I'm a good NB, though I don't really have much of an ego.

But, on the other hand, I have nothing to do with siphoning so...

Word of advice volcanic rune for pve

    Mark of death for pvp

    Hope that helps

Yeah using fire rune to level it right now. It's kinda neat. I always wondered what that blue glyph people were putting on the ground was.

Medium armor DW NB offhand resto staff, used to use bow before. Just testing this out. Stealth+surprise attack+execute+ambush (teleport strike morph or whatever)+mark of death. What I do is Mark of death+ambush+either stealth and surprise attack or just surprise attack> execute

    I have over 50% crit so I crit more than I don't.

What do you mean by stats? I generally *** everyone in PvP, including most dk's

I took a look at this and it doesnt seem too bad bad that may be because you were killing a level 30 (I think it was the same person as well I wasn't paying much attention). Vr 10-12 on the other hand are a different issue. I'd like to see how you handle those before commenting on your build and how it is though.

In case it comes up, I'm vr12 and have/do fight vr12's often

    Top tips for happy nightblades:

    1) Get dark cloak - remove DoTs morph. Lifesaver. Do you want to pick off a weak target in a large group and then get out of there before people notice, even whilst having a DoT on you? Get it.

    2) All your primary DPS (veiled strike, ambush) is magicka based, thus:
    • Max Magicka
    • Get + Spell Damage enchanted on jewelry

    3) Learn to light attack animation cancel - eg, hit light attack, immediately hit an active ability. Huge DPS boost and gives you the edge you need to get people into execute range.

    4) Best weapon for 1 shot kills is, unfortunately, resto staff for the 10% damage bonus. On top of flawless dawnbreaker, I will ambush for 1.1k and concealed for 900. With one light attack the mark will be in execute range, and impale does 900-1.4k.

    5) Light armor >>>> Medium armor. I don't care what people say - you want cheaper spells and better regen. Missing stealth radius is not a big deal.

    6) Always have a magicka pot handy to help you stealth away

    7) For PvE: Resto staff with soul siphon and any HoT + your AoE fear will get you through all veteran content and makes any non CC immune boss cake.

8.) You need Warlocks set for both DPS and solo / group PVP.

    9) Speaking of light armor...the best PvP armor set in the game is the dominion light armor set. This set literally doubles my survivability ( it has -5% less damage from players, HP, and a 300 dmg shield that procs a LOT)

Are you trying to run melee or ranged?

Are you trying to gank and run or stand toe to toe w/o needing the first strike?

Are you running in a small group? Large group? Solo?

Do you want to own 1v1 or stand a chance 1v2?

@GrimCyclone‌ What alliance are you? If you're EP I can show you exactly how quick and efficiently a NB can kill.

As I said in a similar thread, I use dual-wield and medium armor, and I dominate 1v1's in PvP.

I'm spec'd nothing like any other NB's I know or have encountered, including the non-use of shadowy disguise.

My bar looks like this: Sparks, Bloodcraze, crippling grasp, piercing mark, and ambush. And I'm sitting at 25stam/24magicka attribute.

If you're EP, I'll be glad to show you precisely how to use these in-game to come out of 90% of 1v1 melee fights with over 75% health. The biggest problems I encounter are from NB archers, but even then I come out on top 90% of the time.

If you're not EP, at least I've given you the tools to make (in my opinion) the 2nd best solo melee build in the game (first best build is possible with Templar) you just have to figure out the rest. This is from literally thousands of solo fights as it's all I do.

My in-game name is Tirik, /tell me and we'll talk. And if you're not EP, msg me anyway and we'll go head-to-head and I'll see if I think you're worthy of the "how-to" regardless of alliance.

    Until then, good luck!
