Hello fellow players;
Whilst I understand that ESO is very new and very few video tutorials are up on YouTube. In response to this, I have constructed a guide for:
how a low-level player can acquire the world ability 'Vampire'.Need to knows:
- Vampires can
bite at
rank 6, players normally
charge for this. If you don't want to pay you'll have to wait until level 35-37ish when the monster spawns in your campaign's 37-44 map.
- After being bitten you have a buff for 7 days called 'Vampirism', during this time you can use the altar at which you were bit at to do the quests.
- The quests
ARE SOLOMusts:
- You must have patience, as a low level it takes time.
- A bow, preferably one closest to your level
- Use the Dark Mists vampire skill she gives you
- Have the vampirism buff and done the pre-quests
In
this screenshot, you can see that I am a level 8 DK with just a bow. The screenhot below will show you what skills I am using. NOTE: Rooting skills will miss and won't work.
This video tutorial can give you some visual assistance on how it is done:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEgXpDlHvfc
Note: It's my first EVER video, sorry if I seem a bit stuttery and slurred. I was very nervous ^^
Optional:
- Poison Arrow (Not a must, but might knock a few seconds off your total time killing them)
- Other DoT (Damage over Time) skills, same reason as above
- DoT weapon enchant; Fire or Poison, same reason as above
- Repaired armor to take as little damage as you can.
The first step is getting to KNOW what you're going to be doing.
As the YouTube videos explain, you need to run up the stairs, with a bow and while jumping the monster will come down the left or right side of the steps, whilst it is doing this, start charging a heavy attack and walking BACKWARDS in the opposite direction.
Prepare this attack when you see the monster coming around the corner on
your compass:
On
this screenshot, you can see which areas you must avoid.
Lastly, you have the 'Drain Essence' ability, use it once the monster's HP is at about 3-4% and it SHOULD finish it off.
Dark Mists - this skill should only be used if you think you're about to be hit by the creature, it works as an invulnerability skill and will negate 75% of damage, sometimes you can get caught on the steps whilst jumping so it is needed.
Additional final tips:
- Don't stay on the stair ledge, monster will despawn (Run away and restore health)
- Don't melee it, don't use a staff. The staff takes slightly longer than the bow to charge a heavy attack. Melee you won't get a chance to do because it will kill you.
- 1 kill can take up to as long as 5 minutes, don't fret, this isn't a big issue.
I hope it helped, any questions just mail / pm me in-game
@DakotaCotyWhy have it done at a low level?
The fire debuff can be a hindrance whilst leveling, however, having the ability but the instant stun and health and stamina drain is really good, especially in multi-target fights as you can drain both one after the other.
It gets leveled up as you go through the content, so instead of it becoming a chore at level 50, it become something that grows with you.
