"Item not ready" is caused by repairing as siege hits the wall

Someone mentioned it in chat and I found it to be true. So if you want to avoid a relog to fix it..... try to stop repairing before siege hits the wall you are repairing.

That's nice and all, except when you're inside repairing the wall you can't see enemy siege. But since this is a PvP bug and not a PvE one, I guess we better start thinking of it as a 'feature' cuz it wont be going anywhere soon!

This hypothesis fails to explain how it happens when there is no siege even running against the wall/door being repaired.

Yeh dude you missed the memo, this is a feature, you don't need to repair the walls, you're supposed to spawn 20 Mage Mercenaries inside to defend the keep or outpost for you duhhhh

Wall is repaired to 100% by other players before your repair kit takes effect? I didn't test it much but that seemed to force the error

I've had it bug out with no siege going on and the wall or door well below 100%.

Yeah, a friend had his bug out as well on it's own. So although I have seen it to consistently bug out when repairing a wall that is taking damage when you repair... I believe there is also something else that causes this.

ANYTHING that interrupts you can cause it.

If the wall comes under attack during the animation, it will trigger.

Same as if someone walks in front of you and you try to repair while targeting a player.

Thank you! I was suspecting this since my friend who had it happen said that people kept walking in front of him. But I hadn't had time to test it.
