Keep NPC Respawn rate= Low Pop server troubles

It is really hard at this point to take a keep on a low pop server. especially with NPC mercs + the rate at which NPC's respawn.

Last night:

EP and DC work together to take down AD emperor:

For 4 hours we fight AD at Roebeck. FOUR HOURS

it was 30 DC + 17 EP vs 15 AD

DK emperor + his crew are spamming Merc mages+caltrops+ Oil. Any time we make headway into the keep, the NPC's respawn a few minutes later(just enoguh time to give AD some leeway to regroup).

My point being:

On low pop servers, with the current NPC respawn rate+ defenders using broken mechanics+ mercs..its quite tough to take a keep, especially with an emperor on your ass.

End result?

DC and EP give up for the night. when we wake up, the 15 AD PvE'd the 6 inner keeps.

    Caltrops should be taken out of the game until this exploit is fixed... it's getting beyond frustrating.

    Bought mercs shouldn't be available for purchase if you are VR1+, easy.

    I agree, even tho I'm not on a low pop campaign.

    Earlier today, I joined a group on Wabbajack as we tried to take a completely undefended keep. EP and AD were fighting each other elsewhere, so our DC group tried to do something smart and attack a keep far away from the zergs. There were about 15 of us and we reached the NPCs inside the inner keep. We even turned one of the flags, but the NPCs that we had killed earlier were respawning right on top of us. We literally got destroyed by NPCs alone. I guess that's what we get for not following the zergs...so much for "small group" gameplay.

    I'm not sure about anyone else, but when I siege a keep, I don't expect to PvE... which is what we were doing for about 30 minutes because of the guard respawn rate. I can definitely see why this would be even worse on low-pop campaigns.

    Thanks a lot, Zenimax... You've turned PvP into PvE...

    The buffs to guards is Zenimax's response to players like @TheGrandAlliance‌ who are incapable of doing anything in pvp if not backed up by 50+ players and a legion of npcs behind them. I'm sure that the Zenimax devs who came up with this idea are generally incompetent players.
