Seriously guys... Ta everywhere? Coldharbour?

The last 5 Aspect runes I've found in Coldharbour (which is all of them so far) have been Ta...

I mean, come on. Ok, maybe put then in the mix, but seriously, can you please mix in some higher levels more often in these end-game places, at a minimum?

Ta is the Aspect rune for common quality glyphs. Hence, they are the most commonly found. It has nothing to do with the level of the zone as the Aspect runes are level agnostic. Potency runes are what dictate the level of the glyph and are tied to the level of the zone.

The higher quality Aspect runes are around but they are much more rare than Ta, as they should be.

Yeah... I knew that. Point is, as you get to higher levels, you don't waste purple and gold Potency runes on white-quality, common Aspects. At least, I don't know anyone that does, and from what I read, I've not seen anyone else that does, either.

So, white (Ta) aspect runes become essentially worthless as you move up into the levels where you're scraping to get potency runes of the levels you can use. Yes, perhaps there are folks who would blow a high-level potency rune on a Ta-based, common glyph... but I don't know any of those people.

Therefore, I'm asking that a higher proportion of at least Blue or higher Aspects find there way into drops and harvests at the levels where it's more appropriate that white and even green would be ignored.

I have dozens of Ta... I wind up giving them away or crafting "throw-away" glyphs of low level for other starter characters to decon. It's just disappointing.

As opposed to you, you, you? I don't pay for the game so you can be entertained, I pay so that I can be. And it's not entertaining for me to continually get what for me are valueless items dropped after often some effort at getting them. It's simply balancing rewards with effort and such. You must not be an enchanter, for you don't seem to understand the frustration at constantly coming up with Ta after Ta in the runes.

It's subjective, obviously. For you, having Ta show up 99% of the time is great fun, challenging, and just what you like, apparently. For me it is not. Simple disagreement on how we'd like to see drop vary. Nuff said.

You missed the point I made. There are no green, blue, purple or gold Potency runes. Potency runes are all white and just determine the level of the glyph. Aspect is the only rune with different quality levels. The only time you would be crafting low level runes is if you paired Ta with a low level potency rune. Pair it with a higher level Potency and you get a higher level glyph.

Yes, I mis-spoke. What I meant to say was that as you get to higher levels, you don't, in practice, mix high-level potency runes with low-quality aspect runes. That is what I meant. So, if you're going to craft a level 50 or Vx potency glyph, you would tend not want to blow that high-level potency rune on a Ta-quality glyph.

I understand it's possible. What I have found in my own harvesting is that the higher-level potency runes are scarce enough as it is, that when and if I find them, I hold on to them until I can combine them with high-quality aspects. I haven't used a Ta (white) aspect rune, or even green, if I'm making one for actual use, in a very long time. I even avoid Blue if I can, and the only "serious" glyphs I make are at least Purple.

White and green are, for me and all the higher-level enchanters I've spoken with, essentially disposable, and are only used for crafting decon glyphs for others. Which is fine, but not exactly the kind of rewarding prize I'm looking for when harvesting for hours.

So, my original point and sentiment stands. When fighting my way through a higher-level area like coldharbour, it would be nice if aspects I got weren't all disposable, white-quality runes I'd never use on anything except give-away glyphs.

You don't get 100% Kuta drops just because you're lvl 50.

Right... and if somehow my post can be interpreted to indicate that I want 100% kuta drops, then I somehow misphrased what I was looking for...

What I was after was an uptick in the percentage drops of the higher-quality runes in higher-level areas. I just feel I'm seeing Ta over and over and it would be nice to tweak the percentages, is all.

Really, I didn't think this would be some highly contentious suggestion, flaming some kind of ire and debate over it.

Others may be happy with the drop rates as they are. Wonderful, and great for them. I'm not, and I was just offering my opinion.

Really this is the area you want.

The mods rarely pay attention to stuff here because its not about discussing drop rate, or the fact that rare is rare and to some its unfair.

Sarcasm aside, the point still stands. It's been far more than five now, and in general, my opinion remains the same: I believe the rate of rarer drops, of higher quality aspect runes, should be increased in the very high-level areas.

Pragmatically, the whites simply aren't used to fashion powerful glyphs of high level by anyone I know, including me, and for good reason: the corresponding potency runes are also rare at the high levels, and not many want to "waste" one of them creating a white-quality glyph.
