Enchantments do not increase items value?

Seriously?
As I was grinding through my inventory today, I decided to make some easy (or easier) money by taking a bunch of enchanting glyphs I had gathered in my travels and enchanting a bunch of weapons. That would make them more valuable and I could sell them for more money, right? Just like in any other game on Earth today.
So I enchanted four swords only to discover that enchantments do not increase the value on iota. I stopped because (1) serve maintaince was coming and (2) I didn't want to waste a bunch of glyphs until I confirmed this but ....
Am I wrong? What gives?
