Death Recap Collection - After Patch 1.1.2 - 3203 DMG one shots on V9 players?

lindechene
One must admit the Death Recaps were just released in time to showcase how difficult some enemies have become after the patch.

Some examples:

V9 Alkir Desert:

A group of about 10 players engaged several Dolmens and World Bosses.
I collected some screenshots of basically instant kills if one was unlucky enough to get hit by certain spells or combinations of them.

- Impending Storm by Zymel Hriz 3203 DMG

- Two Harvesters each casting Black Winter for 1417 and 1205 DMG

- Lonely Papa using Shatter for 2835 DMG

- Xivilai using Fire Lines for 1926 DMG followed by a Spider Deadra using Lighting Storm for 1043 DMG

- - -

update / edits:
Those values were achieved on a DK wearing v rank 8/9 heavy armor on all slots with armor ratings in the overcharged area.

1)Harvesters have always been stupid if you can't circle strafe them, such as when they're placed in front of the anchor and the stair is in the way of running circles around them.

And that grab they automatically do deals about 2/3 of your HP to a character stacked with HP investments.

    2) Storm astronachs have been broken for a good while. It's about the only veteran mob most people besides a DK won't be soloing without a ultimate needing to be used. They just do dumb damage.

The way they did VR content just completely ruined build options as you either need to go mega-turtle to not get 2-3 shot by some mobs, or you need to be a class that can play glass cannon with good cc and self healing to prevent landing in a position where mobs attack you and kill you in under 4 seconds.

They went the old road of difficulty = more hp and damage, and that just doesn't work out as well as actually adding complex mechanics.

It is just simply boring. It took a group of 10 people an extremely long time to clear a single Dolmen.

    - Ultimate did not anymore seem to regenerate unless using specific abilites to fill it up.
    - Mana and stamina was empty most of the time.
    - Before "Evil Hunter" the fighters guild ability was extremly usefull in Dolmen fights. Now it was almost impossible to keep it running because enemies just did not die fast enough.
    - Basically using any abilites now does not feel rewarding at all because you do not see any noticeable change in enemy health bar.

    And last but not least:

I really enjoyed running around the zone coming up to a Dolmen and or World Boss and clear it with 3-5 people who just happend to be in the area. Now this seems to be a thing of the past. Now the only way to be able to clear veteran rank 9-10 zones is to join one of those huge groups who run around in a zerg clearing one boss and dolmen after the other.

I hoped that veteran PVE questing zones would remain relaxing and enjoyable with focus on questing:

Now every single group of 3 enemies has become an epic fight in which you need every single ability to barely manage to survive. There is no room anymore to put some more fun but ineffective spells on the bar anymore.

I would not mind that if combat would remain interesting. But it just has become increasingly boring to repeat the same string of attacks over and over and over without noticing the enemy health bar drop in any significant way until finally after a long time flailing around one managed to gather enough ultimate to get rid of those simple plain three zombies.

Just so you know it was an unintended change to the difficulty for the VR areas.
