Thats kinda the point I made..large updates should update immidiately when downtime happens, so that when the servers are back, most of us have it downloaded and ready to go.Why do people complain?

Seriously, with all the problems already being posted about, it would be a VERY good idea to hold off on doing any patch updating or playing. At least until we hear something from the company. Sometimes when things get wiped like achievements, those who logged in are stuck until they get fixes via individual tickets, and we know how long that can take with this company.
Me, I made a group recently on the EU server to test different builds. And have done only very early questing. So don't have much to lose. I will update and play right away, but won't do any updating on the US server until things are fixed and working smoothly on the EU server. I fear that might take weeks though.
