Will this patch ruin small scale PvP?

With the introduction of archers, they also increased the spawn rate of the NPC's. Basically, ZoS is preventing small group capping which is the only way that some campaigns can be interesting.

Will this ruin PvP across the scale, except for small group defenses and large zergs.

This was the only part of the patch that made my head explode.

I expect low pop campaigns to start dying slowly. Especially ones that have 20 vs 10 vs 15 on a regular basis. I am in one of them
Character: Eros, Eros I I, The Paw of Woe
    Class: Templar Healer/MagWarden/ Stam Sorc
    Alliance: DC
    Campaign: Vivec (pc/na)

In some strange way, I think Cyrodiil was meant to be played with a much smaller population and far less keep turn over.

The less populated servers might become trade hubs with guilds actually owning and defending their keeps. Also providing real guild stores.

If scenarios or battleground existed we could always get small scale PvP when we wanted.

I don't really tend to think of capping keeps against NPC guards as "small scale pvp" anyway...

I am also worried about that change. Other than wabbajack there are a multitude of underdog scenarios that are only remotely tolerable because one can still manage to be effective despite alert addons, the subversion of travel routes by suicide, and well emperors.

This will certainly not be helpful to the underdog, as it will be the underdog who will be facing this new challenge rather than the one whom already maintains a firm foothold on all of cyrodiil.

This might be good for balance if the changes were dynamic. Allowing the underdog to purchase additional reinforcements. It would make sense as well because the one who has all of cyrodiil spreads his forces thin, while the one who has non of cyrodiil should have be able to focus his resources.

I think that smaller campaigns will become a wasteland eventually... or only be active late at night when most people are at home. In a way I guess this is good but in a way I can see this being bad especially in campaigns where a full group is almost unheard of.

Oh, I missed that part in the patch notes :( So no more Keep taking in small groups? There goes our fun.

Buffing NPCS will fix balance issues with this game. Empty servers are likely to be shut down next campaign anyways: THis is only way to deal with low pop servers.

BTW: This will make emp farming also harder now which is good...
    Indeed it is so...
